I sold this truck a while ago, but I never had any problems for the 4-5000 miles I had this on the truck.
In hindsight, I’d have a professional install them.
The wind noise wasn’t bad. It wasn’t like a standard light bar where you get the wind whistle. It was more of a thud, but It wasn’t...
I actually liked the sound I heard in the TFL video of the new truck. I'll readily admit the sound on the Gen 2's suck, but I don't buy the idea that a 6 cylinder engine isn't capable of great sound. Just listen to any Porsche. Maybe Ford got it right this time?
The only thing that was a total bust was the actual launch event. I think most people tuned in expecting something like RAM did for the TRX and instead we got a 30 second ad.
Looks are always going to be subjective. I thought the Gen 2 was ugly as sin when it first came out, and I've owned 2 of...
This. I get the trucks and big v8 romance, but hybrid drivetrains are moving forward. Hell, look at the new Koningsegg Gemera. It’s using a 3 cylinder engine with hybrid drivetrain and putting down 1700hp with a 0-60 in 1.9 secs. Ford aren’t going to get left in the dust performance wise...
If you have a '19 or '20, you'll may need to remove the original graphics. My installer was concerned that the rubbery texture they have would be a problem for the Xpel Adhesive. If their adhesive is anything like Vinyl wrap, then it'll have a hard time sticking to rubber.
I figured it was...
I didn't get the fender flares done. I just did all of the painted metal surfaces. They also did the headlights. I figured for the the cost of doing PPF on the fender flares, I could just buy new ones if needed.
I had the shop remove the decals when I did the Xpel Stealth. With the graphic change on the '19's the graphics now have some kind of rubbery texture to them. I had (and so did the shop) doubts that the Xpel would stick properly over the decals.
The decals are matte anyway, so you're not going...
Only you can decide if it's worth it.
I really wanted the matte look for my truck, so I did a full wrap in Xpel Stealth. Worth it for me? Sure. The truck looks the way I want, and I get the added benefit of some paint protection. My truck is my DD and it doesn't see any significant off road...
I paid 6k for full Xpel Stealth with ceramic coating. I shopped around in my area (Charleston, SC) out of curiosity and around that price seemed to be the general consensus.
4k for just the front in the non stealth film is overpriced, unless they were planning on taking the whole front end...
I have. I actually had that problem before, where the nut for the positive terminal was below the wires on the terminal causing a loose connection. I fixed that immediately.
I’ve had a friend unplug the negative terminal for now until I’m back in the states. When I’m back, I’ll take a closer...
