@marine5804 - read the thread. Summary - I reverted to the original coding using forscan (originally disabled battery management to suppress auto-stop) and also re-set battery management. There was nothing wrong with the bumper / lights install :) Your situation could be different.
WA dealer still did the warranty work with the custom intercooler, bumper and goosetuned. I guess I was lucky, and they did complain about aftermarket bumper making it harder to the oilchange in the paperwork :)
Speaking of Illinois since we are in Chicago land after 2K drive from Seattle - any...
Almost a month later, battery tester tells me that battery is 100% good, parasite draw is as 0.01A and truck was not charged with battery tender at all during the month.
THANK YOU @smurfslayer for the FORSCAN BSM suggestion!
So, swapped the battery for a new one (thanks god for AutoZone and warranty on Optima) and rest BMS. Steady state draw at 0.065A. Anyway advice on how to monitor the battery health?
thanks, will restore all to the original state shortly and try again. I guess I will have to look at CJ Pony, last time I chose an easy route of note disassembling the console.
So, found and performed following
Switch ignition on (engine off)
Pull and release high beam 5 times.
Press and release brake pedal 3 times.
If successful the battery light will flash 3 times within the next 15 seconds.
BMS reset completed
Voltage jumps from 12V to 14V on start and holds at 14+ while idling.
On the BMS reset, I will search for guidance but would appreciate if you have some handy. Thanks!
Yes, I did use FORSCAN to turn off autostop and tweak couple of other options like mirrors. Will go and restore to original settings today.
Any guidance on how to reset BMS?
Turning auto update and wifi hotspot off in SYNC had dropped steady state draw to 0.066A that should in theory be well within normally supported draw.
On the other side, two months old battery (optima yellowtop) is not able to hold the starting charge for 12 hours anymore. I did try and it had...
Spent more time this weekend with a bit more patience. 0.3A was not correct. Truck settles into 0.095A draw in about 30 minutes. This is still 3x the norm, but I highly doubt this would kill a new battery in couple of months on a daily driver truck.
Anyone could measure the baseline drainage on...
Have been dealing with the parasitic battery drain since my AAD/Rigid install (clearly my fault somewhere). At this point it is beyond my abilities to troubleshoot, any recommendations for the shop that can handle this?
