I'm in the Chicago suburbs. Had my Raptor for 6 years and **** my spare was stolen overnight from my own driveway sometime last month. Didn't have a camera on that area just in front of my garage but will from now on. I wasn't aware that this was a problem.
I think the Raptor is pretty well insulated from the factory and that is coming from a Lexus owner. I'd like to see real world measurements with an SPL meter on the soundproofing materials and really know how well it works. I once had my cab stuffed with fiberglass insulation rolls (sealed) that...
I average 14.0mpg on my 2010 SCAB with 170k miles. I don't think I've reset my gauge in the last 4 years aside from a battery replacement so I assume it's accurate.
Hey all, I'm the owner of the 2010 Scab. Metal, feel free to call me anytime (847)293-1447. I would have listed on the forum but I haven't met the 50 post minimum. When I bought mine on 2015, it had 90k highway miles and never missed a service at Ford every 5k. I turn my own wrench but also have...
I'm looking to refresh the interior of my 2010 Scab. The buttons for the radio presets, AC and fan buttons are worn. I also want to replace the door to the glove compartment. Where can I find part numbers? I like to price shop and not a fan of the Dealer pricing.
My noises were over small and medium bumps especially at low speeds but I did not have a metallic sound. More like a muffled creak or grinding sound. Do you do much off-roading? Perhaps your rubber bushings are torn and you are hearing metal hitting metal. I would probably start with your end...
I drove mine from Chicago to Seattle and back and couldn't have been more comfortable. And that is coming from being a Lexus owner for 10+ years. I was also concerned how I'd do with such a wide truck but after awhile it becomes second nature and now just feels like a car and can out maneuver...
I've been watching that Raptor on Ebay. Seems like an awesome deal. Lowest price in the country on any 6.2L that I'm aware of and it's a 2012. I have over 120k on my 2010 and it still looks and drives as good as new. I say go for it and drive it forever. You can probably get it for even less as...
For those of you who are not handy like me, this was an easy swap. I used an 18mm open ended wrench on the nut and an 8mm socket at the end of the stem to stop the entire assembly from spinning. 120k miles on my 2010 SCAB and the nuts came off easily with a quick spray of Liquid Wrench and a...
Anyone replace their sway bar links? I have a low speed crunch sound that I'm betting is the end links. Anybody post the procedure with/without pics? I'm a beginner when it comes to repairs, but this seems like a DIY job. I've searched the forum but no luck.
Is it just the two nuts on either...
Hi, just saw your post in the highest mileage forum. I have 106k on my 2010 Scab. Curious what were your tranny problems and what was the solution. I've had a hard upshift from 1-2 when the engine is cold. Also sometimes off from 2-3 and downshifts, especially when the engine is cold. Thanks, Marty
Looking for the OEM part # for the oil pan drain plug for a 6.2L 2010 SCAB. Also, is there a part # search on this forum? I can't find anything. Thanks
I'm lucky to have small hands. Took time but the housing eventually came off. I followed the tutorial along with a youtube video. I made sure to put a small screw at the bottom of the hinge pin so it will not come loose again. It's been flawless since.
I recommend getting it fixed as soon as...
The WIX looks very nice. I like the quality of Wix filters. I went with the A-1 CARDONE 20P038F because I buy from Rockauto often. I see that both are avail on Amazon. The A-1 is compact and easy to fit, although I think we have plenty of space in the Raptor to fit any of these.
