Question for you guys who ordered your Raptor, does the dealership take a down payment to place the order OR do they want the entire payment up front? If so, how much down (generally)?

What disturbing to me from an engineering stand point, is why this cam phase problem hasn't been resolved. Its unbelievable this is still a problem model years later. Maybe Ford is interested in knowing the dealers will get warranty work, who knows????

You nailed it on this one, 7+ year car loans are exactly what the car dealers just love. Trained sales people are really good at finding buyers for these loans. I haven't had a car loan in over 23 years and I couldn't even imagine paying $1,000+ per month for a frickin' car/truck.

I agree with you but in dealer's minds its still a new truck. I would love to get one way more than $10K off but that's not going to happen.

If there are any other dealers discounting like that please the forum know. I'm ready to buy and I'd like to find an 801a and a dealer closer than Ohio (I live in New Mexico).

So true regarding the reliability and resale of the Toyotas. Only thing, a Raptor is a Raptor (your the big dog)! I have a GX470 and love that hell out of that vehicle. So reliable and still so nice to drive. I will keep it but at the end of the day, its not a bad ass Raptor!!

The decision is getting so much easier to buy a 2019 or 2020 when you compare the prices on a used 2017 or 2018. The price difference can't be justified when you can get a new 2019 truck with a full warranty. Strange, but dealers are sticking to their guns on used 2017 and 2018 models. I can't...
