I should also mention, that Sonic is still in the family at around 240k miles on it. No big mechanical changes or needs.
Replaced coolant line due to tree rats chewing them up. Change oil and do all the recommended interval maintenance and it’s been solid.
My favorite gas saver commuter car was a Chevy Sonic hatchback with a manual. I was AVERAGING 32-34mpg. Super fun car to drive with a turbo. Didn’t mind it as a beater.

Darn this is a bummer. I agree with others - STOCK sounds better and overall was good to begin with.
I’ve had a ton of people (with gen 2’s) comment about how much better it sounds.

Also, my 23 came without the AS/S option AND heated steering wheel. Given I live in Michigan, I’ll be looking to do the heated steering wheel mod eventually.
Hard to say but with anything second hand, I’d be mindful about what “gremlins” there are - I would immediately assume it’s been off-roading hard… it’s a Raptor afterall.

OH that’s a miss on my part. Had no idea you couldn’t option a 35 with the beadlock wheels - what a bummer. Still, someone will take them off for methods sooner or later anyways :happy175:
