Colorado - Penrose, Canon City and Cheyenne Mountain

We spent a four day weekend in Colorado over Memorial Day. So many different types of terrain so close together. Day one Penrose Park and Canon City, Day two up Cheyenne Mountain.

GEN 2 Help me get this straight please...

I wouldn't do a leveling kit. If you want to level it out, they aren't known for durability. I'd recommend drop shackles in the rear. There are also adjustable perch collar rings for the front shocks of the Gen 2, but they seem questionable to me. You can adjust the perch on the Gen 1 stocks...

    slow speed bumps

Indeed going faster will help, but you can also lower the psi in your tires. They recommend like 40-44, but you can run as low as 30-35 on road for comfort, but it'll cost your some tire wear as trade-off. You might also look at your shocks. If they're over 50-75k miles you're probably ready...

The SnoBall-2014 - Pictures and Video thread

It depends where you mount them. Dash video always looks slower than it felt for some reason, but videos closer to the ground seem to do better. A suction cup to the head light works pretty well, but it was so cold and icy I didn't think outside video would work for this trip. Also, being point...

SnowBall 2014 Meeting Places and Convoys

I'm a little late to this game, but two of us are coming up I-35 from Kansas City (*****, I believe you are the other guy, but I just realized I don't know your FRF name). We will be leaving from the Legends Shopping Center at 6am(ish) on Friday. This will put us in Des Moines around 930-10am...

    FRF Video Commercial/ Promo Contest

Dang... missed the boat on this one. I know I could make a good video. Also, what's this 'honorable mention' junk? Nicole's video was the best for sure, though maybe a bit long... I definitely know how hard it is to cut hours of footage into anything under 5 minutes though.

They are "20ft trucks." They look good at distances of greater than 20ft. Also, my friend is a very good photographer.

Me and WSI got our truck's pictures taken last month because someone apparently didn't look close enough at all the scratches and dents, and thought they deserved to be in the local art show....

Stupid Things People Say About Raptors

I'm going to go ahead and throw this out there against my better judgement... All of the stupidest things I have ever heard anyone say about a Raptor are from Raptor owners on this forum. (all examples paraphrased from shotty memory) "My springs are squeaking, is this a warranty issue?" "My...

What type of "JACK" would you prefer on the trail?

Floor jacks are the best as far as safety goes, but they aren't always practical offroad. Highlifts are a "jack of all trades," but are a little more dangerous and you have to take a look at your lift points as well. They are nice because you can lift with them or pull if necessary. A...
