I went thru pads and warped my front rotors after a few months of driving back and forth to Denver, CO on the weekends from Avon, CO while working at Eagle, CO airport HAATS National Guard unit.
The theory my coworker, and I, came up with was that the cold winter weather, snow, rain, etc. had...
Nice. Glad to hear you like the Raptor. I actually went the other direction. Got rid of my Ford for a Dodge.
Love the instantaneous power of the Hemi. Although, my EcoBoost had mods that would put it in a different league when compared to stock. Like the fact I no longer have to worry about...
I’ve mentioned this before in other forums, threads, etc. Heck, probably this one…
My previous catch can was working great when first installed (Full Race). When I installed the Full Race intercooler and TurboSmart bov my catch didn’t catch anything, except a break. I checked it off & on for...
Btw… I notice different driving conditions make a difference in accumulation.
City driving gives me minimal results; about 1/4 capacity in a JLT can at approximately 5k miles between oil changes. Highway driving gets me about 1/2 capacity.
Recent local trailer towing on the highway with a...
Ok… the Full Race can told me to. However, the JLT I now have installed (Full Race setup stop collecting after adding Full Race Freak-O-Beast intercooler and TurboSmart BOV).
Just got the UPR setup delivered Monday. Got a few of the optional items for maximum performance.
I third that comment. FordTechMakuloco (Brian) has actually worked on my truck. He also recommended this to me in person. Can’t argue with his suggestions as they are made in the customers best interests.
I never looked into an exhaust for mine, but if I did I would look at Corsa. The one I had for my Avalanche back in the day was superb. Not only in sound, but also craftsmanship. Had a few problems early on, but once resolved they sent me a free replacement.
What’s more important to me at the...
I just removed the vacuum system out of the equation by swapping out the vacuum actuated IWE’s for the ones that stay engaged. I have no more intermittent grinding.
I wanted the system to work as designed, but don’t want to re-diagnose when another part of the system fails.
If I had the choice I’d go with the V-8. This turbo experience has been cool, but I am disappointed with the inherent flaws of the power train. My ‘04 Expedition is still on the road. It’s 5.4 V-8 has over 306k miles (the daughter drives it now, so not exactly sure).
I did my best to maintain...
That’s pretty sweet. I’d like to have something like that… but, I’d forget that it’s in there. If it doesn’t lock with the security of a safe I might be in trouble. Might not be for forgetful me. I do really like it, however.
