Lol, you couldn't be more wrong... I despise Apple products for how locked down they are and how hard they work to limit what you can customize on them. My kids use iPhones and Macs because that's just "the cool" thing to have for them, but that's the closest level of ownership I'll ever have...

It took me a couple of tries to get it to work for both updates. Try using the other USB cable, and try rebooting the unit as well. When you click the Simple Upgrade button you should have a status line appear on the screen and it should update pretty quickly (less than a minute).
