Instead of fuse jumpers, you can always get the ford pigtails that go into unused slots in the factory connectors and protected by unused fused in the box...

Similar thing happened to me after putting on a bigger IC - different hose clamps that could be tightened more prevented the issue

Yeah, their customer service is terrible, but I formed a good relationship with my local dealer's service dept and they've been able to really advocate on my behalf and get a couple things sorted out under warranty
