    Texas to Mexicali, Baja California

You may want to look at the return crossing information, last week the wait at the border coming back into the US was 9 hours, just FYI. I have taken my Raptor into Baja numerous times, but currently there is a moratorium on crossings except for essential business until September 21. That has...

How Long does the 12v stay hot once truck is off?

For whatever it is worth, there is no electrical device more inefficient than a DC-AC inverter. They are great to have but very high draw for the amount of current they produce. I would look at the specs on the inverter, the Amp draw will likely tell the tale. I think there has to be a simple...

Jack Type / Lift Points for Gen2?

Is anyone running an air jack? They look like they have enough lift and seem like they are lighter and smaller than some hydraulic jacks?

    MyKey = DON'T DO IT!!!

I thought I was being clever in Baja with MyKey and accidentally changed my Admin key into a Daughter key. I had to drive home from Baja at no more than 60mph, it was horrible, just to make things a little worse. Then I had to go to the Dealer to get my Admin rights back, they only charged...

    ARB COMPRESSOR INSTALL

One word of caution doing a frame mount, I spoke to the factory about this, it is water-resistant, not water-proof, also is=f it happens to be operating when there is water around it will suck it in and destroy the compressor, otherwise, I think the frame great spot, out of the way. I mounted a...

    DIY Bed Storage by Tailgate

Gotta ask, off topic but how well does the air lift work and what are you using for a compressor? Thanks.

    ICOM 4100 Radio Help

It is very easy to modify. Not legal but easy. If you install Weatherman 151.625, do not use it in the US. It is Wide band and only Narrow band is legal in the US. In Mexico it is fine. If you use it you can interfere with people using adjacent channels. Otherwise it will work just fine.

    Auxiliary/Light switch uses?

Don't forget that with a simple relay (albeit a big one) you could turn everything on and off in your truck with one switch. The load needs to be calculated to make sure you don't fry anything, but I agree with the other comments, except for desired combinations of lights, the number of...

GEN 2 Is it possible to rearrage/reorder your upfitter switches?

I agree Ford has too much invested to put undersize wiring. That said, it is also likey the switches themselves are rated differently. With that said just moving the wires around is potentially a risky move and could easily cause smoke or perhaps a fire. The relay panel either homemade or...

    12' Raptor 77K miles

When you do the camera you will almost certainly need a Ford Oval, it will undoubtedly break as you remove it. Not a big deal, but you might have to order it? Congratulations on your new truck.

    GJ 3rd Brake Light

I used the Dirt Kartel light on a Gen1 and a Gen2. I spent last weekend in Baja at the 1000 race, driving off road in severe dust with two other Raptors, my BD pro LED's were reported to be very visible through the dust, which made things much safer. I am a big fan of this light setup. I put...

We are heading down from the SF Bay Area, with 2 Gen2's and one Gen1, we had a second Gen1 but some guys flaked out. Heading down Wednesday at O'Dark 30 to San Felipe, then going to Ensanada on Thursday for Contingency. See you there.

NorCal Bay Area Ford Dealer Recommendation

I have had good luck with Walnut Creek Ford. My Raptor has only been in once for a stupid mykey issue, but they are generally quick and efficient.
