If the tire shop mounts and removes the tires from the opposite side, there is zero risk to rim damage. Every tire shop that does trucks all the time knows this. Make sure the shop has experience with trucks, a regular tire center like costco may or may not be able to get the tires removed...
Shoot me a message here anytime, in this thread or private message. Always willing to work to make a local deal. We live pretty close to each other. If you are local I'm willing to throw in a spare for free. The spare does have scratches in it, which is why I didn't list it originally.
SOLD
$2000+ shipping. Excellent condition, factory takeoffs from my 2022 F150 Raptor 37pp. Anthracite grey. Total of four (4) rims, including center caps, no TPMS. Please take a very close look at each photo, what you see is exactly what you get. The rims are in excellent condition but have...
You sir are correct, my apologies, that bump has been removed. I’ve taken rear hits so hard I was staring at the ground wondering if I was going to flip, and the bumps didn’t compress all the way, there was about an inch left of travel. The limiting bump must be the one in the shock.
I’m going to double check that tonight to make sure I’m not spreading misinformation. RPG installed my RPG bumps themselves, so however they did it I trust is correct.
I don’t know about the SVC kit, but that’s not how the RPG and foutz kits work. They are designed around the 35 platform, meaning you get full piston travel with a 35 shock setup. On a 37pp you are limited by the extra height of the rear factory bumps, and thus lose about an inch of air bump...
You can always use a borescope and check them yourself for a tapered seat, only thing is I don’t know if plugs can be reused like that. If nobody has an answer here by the time I’m ready that’s probably what I’ll do.
My RPG bumps do the same, I can tell by inspecting the shaft after hard runs. Not thrilled but it is what it is. For me at least it’s a temporary solution lol.
I certainly appreciate your reply, but my question wasn’t quite answered. I’ll put it a different way: does anyone here know if the 22+ raptors will accept a tapered seat as well as a gasket seat? Some engines are designed to accept both, I was curious if someone knowledgeable about these...
