There’s a ridiculous amount of vehicles stolen every day in Dallas. Yes, in broad daylight and not just the nice trucks.
Had my Escalade stolen in front of Best Buy store couple months ago. My wife got out with our young kids and started walking into the store, when thieves jumped out, opened...
Had a tankless 15 years ago. Ripped it off and installed a gas water heater. The thing couldn't keep up, and wouldn't get that hot. Hot water would run out soon. Couldn't do laundry, dishwasher, and then shower consecutively. Had to space it out. Tankless units must be better these days...
Sorry, very late to this thread, but:
Only two good laptop bags I know of that have the luggage pass-through loop are Code of Bell and Arc'Teryx. Also, you might look at Evergoods out of Bozeman.
Raptors, TRX's, and the GMC Denali trucks are targeted in TX because the cartels pay professional car-theft crews to get them across the border to them.
For whatever reason, the new thing in Dallas is to break into the trucks through the rear window. Probably looks less conspicuous driving with just the rear broken out vs the driver or passengers, so they believe they're less apt to be spotted. I attribute my overlanding rack to being the...
Both trucks are great. They will be slightly different. Just don’t compare the new one to the old one. You did purchase a new truck, with new design and upgrades. It is what it is. If you wanted it to drive exactly like your Gen 2, you should’ve stayed in your Gen 2.
Glad you posted this. The last week, I kept noticing that I was backing in like a jacka$$ into parking spots and couldn’t figure out why I was having such a rough go at something I’ve done naturally for so long.
I’ll check the cameras are in place right before doing a Forscan calibrate. Keep...
Yeah, I've been using the heated seats this week in CO. This morning I remote started and got in and found the A/C seats were on full-blast. Other times in TX summer, I'll leave the truck with the A/C seats on full blast, only to remote start the next day and find that they aren't on. No...
Was Toyota person for years. Got tired of waiting around for the new Tundra and bought at Gen2. Man…so glad I didn’t wait for a Tundra.
I’m in CO backcountry now, and it’s Toyota land out here. I definitely get the looks as the Raptor is in a league of its own and not use to being seen...
I’ve been pretty happy with Toyo A/T III for snow and ice. Went through some gnarly passes in blizzards with them. I feel they do better in wet than the KO2’s did, and I loved the KO’s.
Road manners on the toyos is good as well; noise minimal.
There is alpine tundra in Western CO as well as heading to the La Sal mountains. Not all tundra is alpine. Tundra is marked with short vegetation close to ground due to short seasons for growth and arid/dry climates (also contributed to by higher elevations).
