When you've seen a sub drop out of a down firing enclosure, was it due to the MDF failing where the screw went in? Would bolting the subs in (self-locking nuts and washers on the inside to spread the load) solve the issue?

Thanks for taking the time to give me some advise, very much appreciated.
Your speaker selections are way out of my league, but will consider a DSP at a later date if I'm not satisfied with the sound.
Leaning towards Polk MM 6502 components for front, DB 652 for rear...
So 120w x 4 will overpower 700W at the sub?
That's why I was thinking of bridging the XR-4S amp to send 300W x 2 to the front stage. Use the PDX-5 amp bridged for the rear 150W x 2. 600-700W to the subs from the XR-1S amp.
I have a Alpine PDX-5, Kenwood Exelon XR-4S and a Kenwood XR-1S collecting dust in the garage. I was thinking about replacing the B&O in my 2018 SCREW with a better setup. Plans are to build a dual 10" down firing underseat enclosure and run it off the XR-1S. Was wonderimg if I could use the...
My 18 has a panel on front side of the tailgate (bunch of Torq bolts) to access the internal tailgate components. Spray in bedliner will make getting bolts out a PIA due to bedliner in the torq bolt heads.
Had this happen on my 2018 (not power up/down) after washing out the bed and leaving the tailgate down for hours. I guess water accumulated in the tailgate and corroded the latch release actuator. I removed inner access panel of the tailgate, removed actuator, cleaned and lubricated...
ebay is where I got mine. did the same thing. Swap your electronics module on the new(used) one, as your truck won't recognize to module in the new unit.
Wondering if he's getting a replacement as well?
Also would like to know if the display can be dimmed very low for night driving. I like my interior lights at the lowest setting possible when driving at night.
