    Big Brakes

This is a Raptor forum, my post was about Raptor brake kit options. They specifically say they don't fit 17" OE beadlock wheels. The rear also isn't for electronic parking brake models, so none of those fit my truck.

    Big Brakes

Rotora's rotor is only 1mm thicker than stock, the overall thermal mass isn't really increased at all, pretty sure Alcon is in the same boat. Compound Mu is generally pretty tame for most street pad compounds too, so you're not dumping a ton of heat into the rotor unless your dragging the brakes...

    Big Brakes

Every single "big brake kit" on the market that fits under stock wheels uses a rotor that's smaller than stock. It won't go through rotors faster than any of those kits.

    Big Brakes

The Rotora option looks nice and even better it uses a common pad shape so there's plenty of compound options that can be gotten for a reasonable amount of money. When I get closer to needing to replace my brakes in the next 15-20k I'm going to look into making myself a kit that uses the stock...

    Interior Windshield Light Bar

I have not, too many other things gobbling up my wallet at the moment. Hoping next year I can start throwing lighting upgrades at my truck.

New Guy: From Gen 1 to Gen 2

Another small update, picked up a Ford Performance catch can. Super quick and easy install, literally spent more time trimming the foam engine cover than installing the catch can. Didn't grab any pics, but there isn't much to see. Changed my oil again today and got to use the MotivX filter...

What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

Not terrible if you have the right tools. Basically just have to lower the diff a few inches by removing the two mounting bolts and you can squeeze the Spicer cover in. I covered some details here: https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/new-guy-from-gen-1-to-gen-2.79929/post-1933943

I've never looked for alternate filters but I have wondered about it before. Kind of dumb there are flutes on the end tho o_O

What did you do to your Raptor today? (Gen2)

This is boring but I felt worth sharing. I saw recently the FL500S oil filter has been revised and now has 14 flutes on the end instead of the old version's 30. I've been meaning to get an oil filter wrench for a while now since it's the easiest way to get the filter loosened (have tried strap...

    Tow capacity of a 2020

Nonsense, it's the internet, people are going to speak their mind. Disagreements and discussion can breed thought and that's not a bad thing. You came here to learn so there's no need to apologize.

    2024 F-150

That's painful, but unfortunately not surprising with how the market is. 55k is definitely a price I would consider, 65-70k is certainly not. Still thankful I got my truck for sticker just a couple months before the market imploded. The configurator on the Ford site shows the 37PP as having...

    Tow capacity of a 2020

As someone who's frequented racetracks for years I see this somewhat regularly. Overtight lug nuts can cause them to shear but not tight enough does too. Once the nuts loosen enough the studs are loaded in shear instead of tension, shear strength of steel is generally around half of its tensile...
