I’ve gotten this once in awhile but it’s usually after letting the vehicle sit for 15 or so minutes after a long trip. Once I fire it up I’ll get pulsating vibration at idle until I start driving again. Once I’ve driven a few feet it will not have this pulsating effect at idle anymore.
I’m at the dealer for an oil change. Just looked at 2 new 23’s on the lot and they have the same unused Christmas tree clips just like your pic. Looks to be normal.
Just as others have said, that’s your transmission at work. Google ‘torque converter lockup’ and you’ll get a ton of info regarding this and how torque converter auto transmissions function.
After you remove the front diff you should lower your raptor too. It handles so much better in the twisties and it’s a lot easier to grab your latte and scone at the drive through window. I’m surprised it doesn’t come this way from the factory.
Not sure if this helps anyones situation but auto mode when heating only uses the floor and defroster vents. I’m fairly certain the AC compressor will not even operate when under 32 degrees F in auto mode, by design.
Can’t wait! The thud is always a fun time. Keeps you guessing if you left something from last night in the bed or if it’s just the transmission making itself known. Luckily I’ve only experienced it when it’s cold, coming to a stop. Hopefully Cobb puts the hammer down and gets that 23 tune rolled...
I think I saw one post on here about a front pinion? I’ve noticed more vibration from the front in 4wd but that’s about it. Torque steer seems to be non existent but I’ve heard of that being present for some people.
My 23’s transmission is somewhat jerky when cold, especially when the ambient temp is below 40 degrees F like it is here in my part of the country. The transmission programming from Ford can be quirky, I’ve noticed this jerk happens due to the transmission shifting from 2nd gear to 1st gear when...
