@Smokey That's really mean looking. That's exactly the kinda thing I'm going for. And I don't intend to "general lee" my truck off anything, but I do want the option to enjoy nearly full compression at speed. I really appreciate the feedback.
@Donmatteo yeah, from my reading of the PA vehicle codes, it's legal as long as it's a DOT approved tire. My local stealership refused to install the rings because they wouldn't issue a sticker. They really suck though, they wouldn't install my foglight kit either.
I've since reached out to...
@Ryan C and @BoostCreep
Dammit... Stop making it hard for me. I'm okay with bending the welds, though I'd probably need some professional assistance.
I'd be using the stock wheels.... unless I end up with Enkei RPT1s at some point (I'm a huge Enkei RPF1 fanboy, and I love the double...
First, thanks for the help and pointing me to the relevant resources.
Second.... Having thoroughly reviewed most of the relevant "keep it dirty - off road" videos.... Yeah, I'm not going to do it. I don't live in the American Southwest, so it's unlikely that I'll ever have the opportunity to...
There's a lot to chew on here... Doing 37s may be beyond my abilities. I really like the way they look though, and the increased volume in the tires, etc would really be nice to have.
I'll keep looking particularly at this guy's videos. He seems like a great resource.
Thanks. That's valuable input.
I guess I'm asking what I need do to retain the usability and not create a ****-show....
I'm keenly interested in more volume (air) and more angles...
I mean, theoretically, there's slightly improved approach, breakover, departure angles...
I'm not worried about slowing it down too much, the tune on it really rips... and I'm planning a bit more on that department over the winter.
Thanks for the input.
I do some limited off road stuff. And I take it to the beach occasionally. I'm not likely to do much desert blasting type of stuff as I live in southeast PA. Ideally I'd like to keep the ability to articulate at low speeds for some of the trails around the PA coal country...
So you're saying something like the eibach springs +2.5 inches and conceivably nothing in the rear and I'd be good?
I'd probably do +2 deavers in the rear. I'm looking for as little lift as possible while keeping the rub to a minimum.
I want to retain the ride and handling characteristics as...
Good morning gentlemen,
With my current tune, I've roasted my back tires a bit. I'm considering replacing them (and upgrading the fronts) with 37s. I plan on running the stock wheels with the Ford beadlock kit.
I don't desire a ton of "lift" but I'd like to fit the tires and have no rub day...
