Totally sucks. Could be the aftermarket wiring, but since it was sitting for a couple days, my money is on critters chewing through some wires. Those little bastards love climbing up in the engine bay when it’s cold out.
I had the method nv 305 wheels. I liked them, but they rubbed a fair amount off-road with their 0 offset. Ended up swapping them for the Venomrex 601 and I’m glad I did.
Personally I like the look better and they are a fair amount lighter. The methods are probably a tougher wheel, but I’ve...
Intentional dumbassery. Seems to be a working formula for him...more views = more money = more vehicles.
Personally I find this particular video entertaining, definitely potential for significantly more damage than shown in the vid. I’d like to see the repair estimate.
Not sure where in LA you are, but Rowher Flats OHV is up near Santa Clarita and is pretty fun. A few high speed sections, but mostly crawling. You’ll be surprised how well these trucks crawl.
Totally agree. Don’t need a shop for wheels. I just had mine mounted and balanced by discount tire (I’m in South Bay). They even gave me tire insurance (truck only had about 500 miles) for like $7 bucks per tire. Lights for the bumper are also really easy to install yourself.
Welcome to the forum. Another SoCal owner here. Just took mine on Rowher trail (Rowher Flats OHV) over the weekend. These trucks can crawl surprisingly well for a full-size Baja runner.
I share many of your concerns on long term implications of EVs, especially battery recycling as lithium ion is toxic and potentially volatile.
In my mind this isn’t a zero sum game. I’m excited about the future of EVs, but I’ll also never sell my 1969 Chevelle SS.
No doubt all those conditions were factors, but many of those factors had been in play for years and no viable EVs. Fine tuning the lithium ion battery, reducing processing cost, increasing efficiency was a important factor and it was initially driven by demand for hand held devices.
While disagree that engines suck (nothing better than the soul rending sound of a well tuned n/a v8 or v12)...you make a solid point on the lack of new propulsion tech in the automotive industry. It’s pretty sad that it took the emergence of cell phones to drive battery innovation enough that...
I’ve found the different modes to be useful and fun to explore...the Rock Crawl (2019 and up) mode and Baja are the two I’ve used most often. Rock Crawl in particular seems to make a big difference in articulation. Baja 2wd is a blast in the semi-loose stuff. I have tried trail control up and...
