2013 you pull towards you as well. If I flash someone aggressively, I pull it towards me too hard, it'll go back to the normal position and still has enough force to go back into high beam mode, lol.

@Yukon Joe and @Jimbo you are correct. The 2012 and 2013 pull backwards to turn on high beams/activate shutter (13+). The 2014 pushes forward to activate. I believe older Fords always pushed to activate like the '14.

Just received this from my local Ford dealership this morning in their newsletter:

THE VIEW FROM BEHIND

What was once a luxury will soon be attainable to all as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is making rear visibility technology, otherwise known as a rear view camera, a mandatory, standard feature in all new vehicles beginning in May 2018. We think that's a great idea and it's why rear view cameras are standard on many of our vehicles, like the 2015 Focus, Taurus and F-150. Giving you a clear picture of what's behind your vehicle, the camera transmits the image to your center console display screen when you're slowly backing up.1 It's just one of the ways we strive to help make driving a Ford smarter and safer.

Maybe one day they will remove the blinkers from all vehicles since nobody uses them anymore!

When was this item available and discontinued as a feature? My 2014 did not have it, but I was able to find one on eBay after getting the P/N from the dealer. They said there are 6 different #'s listed. I just went with the first one he found. Seems to fit fine...
