I've got a question that I was hoping the community could help me out with. I have a 6.2L 2010 year Raptor and as many of you know, that year's model doesn't have a resonator. After countless hours researching on the internet trying to decide which after market exhaust I want, I think I've finally settled on the Corsa Extreme but they don't list it for the 2010 year because it comes with a resonator delete pipe. My question is this: could I still use the Corsa Extreme exhaust and simply replace my straight pipe (where the resonator is located on later models) with their resonator delete? I would think you could in theory but I called Corsa and the gentleman I talked to wasn't sure. Has anyone tried this? If so, was installation still simply unbolting the stock system and replacing the Corsa Extreme system like it's supposed to be for the 2011 and later models or is it more complicated? Thanks!

@Bruce722 I would think that what your saying is possible and should work. I would assume though that for the 2010 with no resonator already, you could just get the corsa "sport" (no resonator delete) and have an "xtreme" system.

There is no difference between the Corsa "sport" and "Xtreme" in ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE RESONATOR DELETE PIPE (actual muffler and everything is exactly the same). Since you don't need to delete your resonator (it's already deleted)...the "sport" system would give you an "xtreme" sound!

Should be fine as long as you have the 6.2L lol. But seriously, when you do it that resonator "delete" pipe is worth some money so keep it

That was my thought as well but the guy I talked to at Corsa said that muffler was different. I'm not too confident that he knew what he was talking about though. It took me three tries to get him to understand what I was asking, lol.

Yeah, everything that I've always heard is that the Corsa systems are the exact same other than the resonator delete pipe. I believe that Chris @freedommotorsports told me this originally.

If you wanted to play it super safe though, you could buy the Corsa xtreme and just sell your used straight pipe as a "resonator delete pipe". It would obviously be used and wouldn't be worth too much, but it's something.

Also, I have a Volant cat-back exhaust and love it! It is very very similar, if not the same as the Corsa (Corsa actually owns Volant and the rumor is that the mufflers are the exact same inside even between Corsa and Volant). You do get a slightly better grade stainless with the Corsa, but I don't care too much about that. I got my Volant setup for around $570 compared to Volant setups that I think go for upwards of $1,100-1,200. Birdman started a thread on here and introduced me to the system. I couldn't be happier with it. He even has a YouTube clip to show off the sound. Just search on here for Volant exhaust. Best of luck bud!

I have a 2010, and I bought a Corsa Sport exhaust as well as the resonator for a 2011+, everything bolted up just fine. The resonator pipe and the straight through pipe interchanged no problem. I agree with LekRap, I would think you could just buy the Sport version and save yourself some cash since you effectively already have a resonator delete pipe.

You are right the only difference between extreme and sport is the resonator delete pipe. I had a 2010 with corsa it sounded nasty!!! I now have a 2013 and it came with corsa, I added the delete pipe and it sounds nasty just like the 2010!

FYI I have the CORSA cat back from my 2010, I removed it before I got rid of the truck. It only has about 8k mi on it and is like brand new! I was gonna list it in the garage sale but PM me if your interested.

Thanks for the information. This is precisely what I was looking for. I now have confidence that I'll be receiving exactly what I want.

Thanks for the info Crikk. I'm probably looking to buy in a couple of months. This thread was primarily the final bit of research before I start putting money aside for it.
