i've been thinking about this myself. the big honkin silver pipes hanging out the back certainly catch your eye on an all black truck. hell i even painted my EZ Pass highway transponder black cause I hated the way it looked white in the middle of my windshield.

As per the EZ Pass there is a bumper mount that is black. I have one on my truck.

oh nice i didn't even realize they made those. i just painted it black and tucked it way up high behind that "F-150" eyebrow on the windshield. It's basically invisible.

Looks good. I cut my tips back about three inches and I think they look better, but painting them black is still on my to do list.

x2, Ford could've spent more time on the tips. Instead they continue to make their truck tips look like objects you would find in the pluming department at Home Depot.

You know them engineers. They are the ones with the big brains and the little pencils.

i'm all about showing off big exhaust pipes but the stock ones are a bit utilitarian for my taste. now some 4" side exits i would have no problem let them hang out and catch the eye.

curious to see if the paint sticks, have painted my Dodge pipe more than once as the paint seems to burn off.

If i was gonna do it I would clean the hell out of the pipe with steel wool and degreaser to remove road grime and lightly scuff the surface. then use the High Heat primer, then the High Heat black. All coats mist coats...not much will take it off.

I cleaned the tips with acetone before I painted them. Be sure to cover and tape over areas that you don't want the overspray to hit.:birgits_tiredcoffee
