I'm thinking of my next mod being a 5 star programmer. For those of you WITH a 5.4 and have the programmer. Is it worth the $370. How big of a change does it make in power, transmission, and fuel economy.

OK I have the 93econo /93perform and the 87econo.
I can say that the 93perform works wonders for quicker accell and grabbing the gear you want quicker.
NOW the ECONO!?!?! Just did a almost 2000 mile round trip to Myrtle beach and on the way down I used the 87 econo.
On the way back I returned the truck to stock and used 87 octane to see the difference.
WELL...ECONO got 16.5mpg Ave doing between 60 and 75 and STOCK got 17.3mpg doing the same.
Now I took the exact same route there and back and was always 5 miles faster then the posted speed limit and cruise set pretty much all the time.
Not impressed with the 87 ECONO tune not sure about the 93 ECONO.
These are my results and I'm sure other people will have different results.

I looked up the hyper tech and they show the 5.4 3V on the regular unleaded tune adds like 38hp and 45tq. And with a +3mpg overall. I was pretty impressed reading up on it. You can also adjust the shift firmness and stuff like that.

Shift is pretty firm which I don't mind. What I did notice after a few hours of racing around the Dunes last week,
I got to my camp site and let it sit for a few. I got back in it to get something from the corner store and it felt like it was still on a high and just wanted to HAUL ASS.
The following day on the way home it finally calmed down and was driving like normal.
It felt kinda cool, like a race truck and just wanted to freaking MOVE.
