TSB 10-12-4 5.4L 3V and 6R80 transmission - Delalyed/harsh downshift above 40 mph
FORD: 2009-2010 Expedition, F-150
LINCOLN: 2009-2010 Navigator
ISSUE:
Some 2009-2010 Expedition and Navigator vehicles built on or before 5/1/2010 and 2009-2010 F-150 vehicles built on or before 2/1/2010 and equipped with 5.4L 3V engine and 6R80 transmission may exhibit a delayed then harsh downshift during a commanded downshift at speeds above 40 MPH (64 Km/h).
ACTION:
Follow the Service Procedure to correct the condition.
The service procedure basically is a reprogram of the TCM.

How do you know your build date?

Look on your drivers door or the cab for a sticker that will have it, plus other codes or you can look at your SVT cert.

even if the truck was built after that date of the TSB and you tell the dealer the truck is shifting hard or delayed and you show them the TSB, they should reflash it.....

Build date: 4/10
Just for Birdy, I went out and reran the shift lag. I set the cruise for 1/4 mile to be sure it was in 6th gear.

I watched birds vid, and my second lag back to back numerous times. The lag is slightly shorter, the biggest difference was the speed from 40 to 50 between the two.

It does not only tell you vin, but info such as, # of build, what options and how many trucks were built with with each option plus some other cool stuff.
