I like the look of the beadlock but not enough to wait for them if there's any further delays. I really don't plan on using them as true beadlocks since they're for off-road use only and I don't see that as practical (although I like that I could convert them). I just like the look of them. I could also see just getting some Method NVs or something similar for about the same price and having 4 oem wheels for spares. I'm on the fence and thus I want to hear all angles before I decide.

Ford and SVT has stated that they were only designed for the OEM tires and other tire brands may leak if installed with the beadlock. Both wheels you are considering are made in China but the OEM should be of better quality. You would still have to buy the beadlock ring and hardware to make the actual Beadlocks. The weight of them is around 41 pounds and yes you still have to check the bolts and retorque them despite what SVT told the Snowballers

If that's really the case, I wouldn't get them. I don't foresee replacing the BFG with another set of stock BFG so that would not be good. I definitely plan on upgrading after the stock tires wear down to Duratracs or Toyos. Something along those lines. And it would be nice to avoid the China angle if possible as I do prefer buying good 'ol USA stuff if at all possible.

Any ideas for wheels? Looking for black without all the spokes. It's why I like the beadlocks and soon to be Method NVs.

Ya, I don't like the BFG all-terrains its an out dated design that should have been replaced long ago. You can buy any of the American made Beadlocks and have them powder-coated or anodized black.

And are you talking about leakage when they are set up as true beadlocks with non-oem tires?

The only issue with the Beadlocks and tires is if you use them as true beadlocks. In their street version with the stock OE SVT silver ring, you can run any kind of tire you want.

If you run them with true beadlocks, SVT recommends using only the OE tires.

OEM beadlock wheels

I just had the OEM beadlock wheel installed today (with the decorative ring) and LOVE the look. I have a 2013 silver

The Ford Racing and OEM are one and the same. ( see picture of my OEM wheel stamp on inside of wheel). I spoke with the Ford racing Rep and he spoke with their chief engineer asking why they are not releasing the wheel even though Ford Racing shows having them in stock, answer; They need to go through extensive on and off road testing before they receive Ford Racings stamp of approval and only then will they release the wheels for purchase. However, Ford dealerships will sell now if you're will to pay their ridiculous premium!
