Some pics of my kit so far. I got the full 19 piece interior/exterior LED & 6 piece resistor kit, and the 2 mirror lamp LED kit. Have a couple issues on my kit working through with AMB right now to get the right stuff swapped out, but in the mean time I got everything else installed that I could and loving it. What a night and day difference!

I'll have to get some night time pics with the wife's SLR camera, but in the mean time here's my daytime before/after shots from my cell.

-Pile of LEDs!

-LED plate light vs stock yellow plate light

-LED puddle lamps vs stock yellow puddle lamps

-LED dome light (front) vs stock yellow dome light

-LED dome light front all buttoned back up

1- Anybody know this bulb size? It's the only one not included in the kit that still needs to be switched to LED

2- Rear dome light, unfortunately still all stock. AMB is sending me out these 3, should really brighten up the back!

3- Yellow stock and LED cargo lamp. Trying to see if I can swap these out for larger ones though that match the size of the factory bulbs

4- Front turn signal LEDs, and front reflector LEDs. The turn signals aren't really any brighter or any more orange than stock, but the nicest benefit with these is twofold. One, they now disappear when they're off, rather than looking like an egg yolk. Matches the nice white look of all the other factory LEDs on the Raptor when they're off. Two, the instant on/off of the LEDs during turn signal is a higher end look than the glowing/dimming on/off of the factory turn signal bulbs. ABM offers switch backs for these, but idk why you'd want them, the Raptor looks so nice with all the amber lights, so I got amber LEDs for the turn signals rather than switchbacks to keep the look going. Also the reflector LEDs while this is the least different change out of all of them so far, it is very slightly brighter than the stock one. Idk why Ford made this bulb pocket so small behind such a large reflector, it's more the shape than the bulb, but it's still a worthwhile LED to swap to.

Can't wait till my last couple LEDs arrive and the replacements arrive so I can finish it up and snap some more pics :rocking:

I installed all of my LEDs (minus the turn signals/tailights) today too. A couple of observations:

1: I agree with you on the cargo light LEDs. They could stand to be a bit brighter I think. AMBRich, any chance we could swap out for brighter lights?

2: The puddle lamps kick ass.

3: The dome light in my 2013 has only a single bulb, as opposed to the older trucks with a center bulb and two map lights. :(

4: The LED that Rich sent me for the dome light had only 9 cells on it compared to the pictures in his LED kit list post with 12 cells. I'm not sure if it's not as bright because of that, but it didn't seem to make as big of a change as the two front map lights. Let me know if I need to send that one back to you Rich.

5: The front map light plastic covers on my 2013 were a cast-iron bitch to get apart without breaking them. Took me the longest to get done.

If it's not snowing tomorrow, going to try to change the taillights and blinkers.

Really? Mine looks just like Reptar's second pic above. One in the middle with two on the sides controlled by rocker switches.

That is really weird. My truck is a '12 screw, and you guys have '13 screws. The front dome light had 2 bulbs of the 1 type, the rear dome light has 3 bulbs of the other type. I hope when I get my missing rear bulbs they're the biggest size LED ones for that spot, because the front both lights turn on with the dome light, the rear only 1 turns on with the dome light. The other 2 side ones only turn on in the rear if the rear passenger flips the switch on.

I think the reverse light and the cargo lamp bulbs are the same sizes stock. Hopefully AMB can update the kit so that those 4 bulbs are a larger LED size to maximize light output.

No. See my last reply in the *Holiday Special* thread, I posted more details. I only have the 2 front turn singal LEDs in right now, my 4 rear turn signal/brake light LEDs were amber/white switch backs that need to be swapped for white/white non-switchback. But with just the front LED turn signals in, my flashers are still normal. No need for resistors yet.

I'm curious to see once I get my replacement rears if it still acts the same, or if that will be enough to make it go fast-speed blinker without the resistors. I'm hoping I won't need them at all then I can return them or trade them in for some LEDs for my other truck.

So you guys still installing yours, put them in and check how they work before wiring up the resistors! You may not need them!

Mine is a single bulb with a sliding on/off/auto switch. I also notice how it's closer to the front of the cab than the back, compared to my FX4 near the back window (which has three bulbs and rocker switches).

So did I get ripped off by Ford? Any other 2013s like this? LOL

:poker:

Wow that's really weird. One more question that may explain the difference...do you have a moon roof? (pic looks like you do, but just confirming). And does tsawyer's 13 screw have a moon roof? Because my 12 screw does NOT have a moon roof. The headliners are different between moonroof and non moon roof trucks, so maybe they got different rear dome lights.

If that's the case, AMB needs to update his order/price setup so guys aren't paying for extra bulbs they don't need, or not getting bulbs they do need.

If tsawyer has a moonroof and has the same dome light as me with 3 bulbs, and you only have the 1 bulb rear dome light, then the only other thing I could think of is I wonder if they have different headliners between lower level trim trucks (XL, XLT, etc.) and higher level trim trucks (raptor, harley, platinum). Yours may have gotten the lower level one by accident with only 1 light, and the higher level trim trucks get the other style with 3. Slimmer chances, but the only other thing I could think of. Well that and maybe Ford changed styles mid-year. They've done that before. The early 02 HD trucks had curved grab handles and the later 02 HD trucks got squared grab handles. One of those things no idea why they changed it at all, and in the middle of a year, but it happens.

Yep, I do have the moonroof. I'm going to look into this some more and try to find out what the deal is. A guy I work with recently bought a 2013, I'll hit him up and ask him.
