Question for AFE owners

At wide open does your intake make a strange sound, almost like a valve tap or ticking. It's really strange. I only notice it at wot though.

I haven't heard one in mine, mine use to loose power shifting from 1st to 2nd and the 5star tune took care of all that so it works great now. I also have the 5.4 so that may make a difference.

I have the 5 star tunes as well. We just installed an afe on my buddy's and it is slightly different.

So you both have 6.2's and his system is different?
What has changed on it?

Aaaah Gotcha! Yeah much different then the 6.2.

I only had mine on for a day or so before I installed the headers and exhaust. I would describe it as more of a popping if memory serves me correctly. If you have the time, throw a video up and I'll tell you if it sounds like mine did.

I have the aFe on my 6.2 and am not experiencing that, MX.

Only sound I hear is that nice little acceleration whistle right before the vroom.

Not sure. I have a new tune to load up that I had mike change the way it shifts. I may try loading a 89 perf. or 93 economy to see if it still does it.
