Raptor Fiends,

With Memorial Day fresh in our memories, there is no time like the present to do something kind for the people who defend this great country that is home to the Ford Raptor and most of it's enthusiasts. FRF diehards RaptorWifey and aarons419 will be spearheading an effort to send care packages to our deployed military members on behalf of the FRF community. Below is a note from aarons419 & RaptorWifey:

These days, the war in Afghanistan seems to be a sort of footnote in mainstream
society. Something not to be mentioned and generally forgotten about in the
normal routine of daily life stateside.

Soldiers overseas are all too aware of this mentality and have adopted a saying;
"The U.S. Military is at war, America is at the mall."

Well I think that we, here on FRF, can show them that is not completely the case. The way that I believe we can do that is through donations of care packages to our deployed military members, with an emphasis on those who have access to the least amenities. The guys who are sleeping in tents or their trucks and eating MREs for every meal.

To you, a box filled with some cookies, candy, and magazines is not a huge deal. To these guys, it's a huge morale boost to get a little piece of home in the mail.
We would like to make this happen for our troops, who are the very reason we get to enjoy owning these trucks, being part of this forum, and living in the great country that we do.

I'm sure anyone reading this can agree we owe a great deal to those who protect us. FRF salutes our soldiers and those who choose to help with this effort. To get involved, see the existing thread linked below and/or send a Private Message to aarons419 & RaptorWifey.

I'd be willing to donate some $$ to someone putting together a package. Shipping from Canada where I live would be a pain.

But I'd be more than willing to PayPal someone a few $$ to help out.

Guys, send PMs to aarons419 & RaptorWifey. They are coordinating this together, RaptorWifey from stateside and aarons419 from Afghanistan. They will let you know exactly how you can participate.

Thank you!!

A little more news on this...

Since we've had a bit of a difficult time obtaining addresses, and I happen to have the address and a contact for a whole unit out here, I'm thinking we can basically "adopt" them. They're out at a remote Combat Outpost here and they'd be a perfect candidate for it.

The unit is Charlie Company of 1-28 Infantry.

I will still take any addresses given to me and make sure they get the love they deserve, but this will hopefully get this ball rolling properly by focusing on one unit for now.

Thanks for all your support guys! Rusty and Bo, expect PMs inbound shortly!
