Is there anyone who can do FORSCAN changes in the New York/New Jersey area? Never did anything like this and don’t want to mess something up.

It’s not hard, the as built coding lines you see quoted look much more complicated than they are.

there are plenty of YouTube intros, great how to docs, and lots of detail on exactly what to change and where.

^^This^^ If you can follow the instructions to delight in a bag of microwave popcorn, then Forscan will be a breeze. Point being…it really is that simple.

I just did this and was told that there are no updates pending so they can't help on their end. We verified the SW level in the truck and they agreed that I am way behind on updates, but there is nothing that they can do. Told me to take it to the dealership and gave me a number for the service department to call if they say they don't know how to manually do the updates. Annoying.
This is the process i went through and now my truck gets updates OTA. When you call the number provided, tell them your not receiving OTA updates. They should try to push an update to your truck. They could see it was not responding in my case. They set up a visit with my dealership in Sulphur Springs, TX to update a module. Once the module was updated the delaership could see all the new updates with there software they could not access or see before the module update. Dealership then installed the updates and truck has recieved 3 or 4 OTA updates since then. Tell your dealership to look into the TSB-22-2404. If your up for the drive Chance in service @ Tolliver Ford in Sulphur Springs, TX knows exactly how to do this.

@pnwobrigade If you reset the learned shift strategy there is a procedure you a supposed to do after clearing the tables. If you don’t do the procedure it can learn undesired shifting.

This is helpful. My transmission has become clunky recently so may reset. Maybe I'm an idiot - is there a gear indicator somewhere that shows what gear the truck is in?

Not like the G2...but you can push the paddle shifter and the gear will pop up on the left side/bottom of instrument cluster.

Yeah, I really miss that for some reason. Lower trim levels allow you to see which gear you're in, though unless you flick a gear up on the paddle, you won't know. I have a bad habit of counting stairs, steps, basically anything - so it's hell getting going in the mornings before I just forget

Has anyone found a Forscan setting to change the amount of time before the alarm for "place hands on wheel" when in cruise control?

I will have my hands on the wheel and it still alarms, over and over, to the point that I usually don't use the lane assist

Get a 1 lbs ankle weight on amazon and put on steering wheel left or right bottom part. It works great!
