For me, it cost $130 for peace of mind that I'm helping airflow. Pretty inexpensive relative to overall truck cost. Not running a tune currently. Probably going to try and hold off a while.
Yea this is where my mindset was also. Better safe than sorry on such an expensive vehicle. Thanks for sending me the right direction and thanks to those above who posted also.

Yes, bolts you see are under the factory cover. Install was straight forward and easy.

Edit: oh I see what you’re saying. Yes, @mobiia looks to have it installed incorrectly.

Where did this COBB intake come from? Is this a Gen 2 and they just don't offer it for the 3 yet? I would much rather have this than just the bracket.

I am torn I like the coolant cover, tubes etc that match the shroud texture. more rugged looking in keeping with the raptor feel. but the CF looks sweet but maybe too much high performance sportscar'ish. hard to decide. not to mention its cheaper. by a lot. it doesn't look like the snorkel and or tubes and filter box are available that way yet. hope they offer soon like to get it all. the bracket is pretty much the most important part but the whole total package really dresses up the engine bay. decisions decisions. guess ill send them an email and wait a bit to see what they come out with next.

You have a picture of the cover so we can see it!! COBB may replace it for you as well--probably should not fade like that

Yea that is odd, did you contact COBB yet!! Great looking engine bay, all you need is the Carbon fiber intake snorkel to be complete---
