Does anyone know - practically speaking - how this will affect warranty (original and esp)
Well I think we can be sure if your steering wheel catches fire they won’t cover it…

I would imagine if any hvac buttons fail or anything in the clock spring/sccm not being the right part they wouldn’t cover it.

I think it would really hard to reject claims for any other circumstances given genuine ford parts and the programming settings should match exactly what a 2021/22 truck use for the exact same parts

Have we determined if HVAC with digital read out in knobs is direct plug and play? Or, do you have to do programming to get them to work? Also, does the temp still show up on the screen? I like it on the screen up top. Easy to read.

It is not direct plug and play, you have to use forescan to load your as builts (then of course the settings for the new heated wheel)

The “hvac” controller module is within the button part itself. Which is why it needs the as builts written in

But the temp lights I believe work without any additional coding.

Yeah, I just meant the digital temp readout on the dials. Was wondering if it needed any other coding. Trying to decide if I want the digital readout on my ‘23, or just normal. Doesn’t seem like digital readout is coming back.

Do we know if the temp readout is still on the screen if you get the knobs with digital readout? I think having both would be beneficial. Thanks for your help!

as built calls for temp on screen so that doesn't actually change.. unless forescan is used to delete

Haven't done the install yet. Waiting on the SCCM (coming today), and also the courage to disassemble my <1000 mile truck (ETA unknown).
I'm in this exact boat right now. Have the A/C cluster w digital readout from the link to Fairway you posted, just waiting on the right SCCM - and the stones to take the dash/steering column apart on a new truck - mine with <250 miles. ETA unknown indeed...

Where did you get your clockspring from? Did you order the SCCM separately?
