Hello! My fiancé and I were rear-ended coming home from San Antonio this weekend. From what I can tell there is significant frame damage to the left side. Bumper was ripped off and bent into the left rear taillight. Left rear side panel crushed almost into the fender (which is a goner). The bed hit the can in two places on the left side. We were able to drive it home an hour post wreck however heard some not nice noises the next day when moving it. I’m assuming the left axle is bent as well from impact. I was wondering if anyone has been in a similar wreck and how the process went. The couple who hit us did not have insurance nor did they have drivers licenses. Super fun. I will attatch photos but would love advice! Our girl has a lot left in her after keeping us so safe!

I see someone around me locally always advertising rebuilt Raptors. Most of their listings say that they get new frames and swap the rest of the truck onto them.
Once frames are damaged now a days most vehicles get totaled by insurance.
Nobody wants the liability of straightening or repairing.
Didn't mention any injury, hope that is the case.
Hope the rear enders do something to help with the loss.
But monetarily the decisions will be the insurance company's.
Good luck and sorry to hear.

Hope everyone is OK, and so sorry for your truck! I think it would be costly to repair with the amount of damage you described. Best bet maybe to start a search for a replacement new or a used Raptor.

Hope everyone involved is ok and I'm sorry to hear about the wreck. Send me a PM so we can exchange phone numbers and I'll forward your pictures to one of my childhood friends that owns a body shop. He'll give you a straight forward answer as to what your options are. But honestly it sounds like you may have a total loss on your hands.

Sorry to hear this, but glad you and your girl are okay. Based on your damage I'm guessing it will be totaled. If not its gonna have a salvage title after reporting all the damage anyway. I HOPE THEY FOLKS THAT YOU ARE INSURED.

Thank you all for you responses! They help so much! To start we are both okay! My fiancé is 24 weeks pregnant but we got all checked out and no injuries. The other driver was not insured nor did either of them have licenses. I’ll attatch some photos and send some PMs for additional information! We had a Gen 1 raptor in the Shop a few years ago that was a rear end hit. I don't remember the small details but the truck was fixed. Insurance was Geico. Bed was replaced, frame was sectioned at the cab and replaced as per ford procedures, as well as repair to the back of the cab. I cannot recall if the axle was replaced or not.

That really sucks that they had no DL or insurance. Were they illegals? Hopefully if the frame is slightly bent, they can repair it and you can keep your truck.

When I was a lot younger, I got rear ended by accident in San Francisco and I never got any money for it!
