Beyond pissed right now. Raptor with 37" tire package shows up tomorrow after waiting 16 months. I placed a deposit and signed off on the build and price. Now dealer says they want to increase price $8k. Apparently a signed document and $1k deposit means nothing. I am tempted to take to court just out of principle. Do I have any grounds to stand on and is any one elses dealer doing this to them?

These stories unfortunately are common. Don't know what state you live so can't advise any legal advice. However, you are probably screwed.

Feel free to post dealer name here...

This sucks, sorry to hear this crap. The bummer is....if you pass on it someone else will gladly buy it at that price and the Dealer still wins. It is almost to the point that its not worth ordering.

Hard to give legal advice over forums/Idk anything about colorado state consumer laws but in my experience theres no real case as a deposit doesnt seem to be a final BOS unless theres a specific contract

While I understand you don't want to spend time to look for a new one, I wouldn't give those scumbags the biz at this point.

It will be a little pain, but you can find a 37 from $2K-$5K with some work. I did a few weeks ago and others have.

I feel for you but dealers are dealers...they can't help themselves.

They increased MSRP. Told me that Ford doesn’t offer price protection anymore.
That’s pretty rare to get a dealer to price protect on a raptor. They should for the pain and suffering waiting for that long. I know a few guys got price protected because their dealers were awesome but that is not the norm
