I never messed w/ an aftermarket IC but if I was going to would def be one of the stock location designs like Wagner/CVF/mishimoto etc I forget all the brands that had that design

I don’t see much need for the IC upgrade living in New England only few months outta the year where Mother Nature isn’t giving a helping hand in keeping the engine cool
The stock IC is complete garbage. A good IC will help in any weather.

I’m sure will perform better but my temps never outta control, what’s the best bang for the buck out there now that requires the least or no modification to the truck? Maybe will swap out when time to change coolant.

Just paid my ‘20 off only 38k miles plan on running it to 100k anyhow

Not sure as I have an FMIC. All of them are much heavier and thicker than the OEM POS that is in there... so you might have to trim the shroud etc.

Intercooler isnt necessarily giving lower temps. Its holding temps steadier for longer. stable temps equal stable power and less timing is pulled over time. i believe if you retain the factory bumper the COBB should slide right in.

Intercooler isnt necessarily giving lower temps. Its holding temps steadier for longer. stable temps equal stable power and less timing is pulled over time. i believe if you retain the factory bumper the COBB should slide right in.
Bigger/better intercooler is 100% keeping temps much lower than the OEM piece of garbage.

I have a new CVF Titan 2 sitting in the garage as we speak trying to find time to install it so I’m about to do the CVF Titan 2 soon I will let you know. I talked with Jason at CV and he said the shroud on my 2108 will need a slight trim however there is a thread on here and some of the guys are saying they didn’t need to trim but took awhile fitting it just right so we will see.

Ok my brother and I installed the CVF Titan 2 yesterday and for the most part was very straight forward. Took us just over three hours and that included the cutting that I did have to do to the shutter shroud. Pics below. Removal was straight forward, remove skid plate 13mm & 15mm sockets will be used for this! Remove bottom Fan & Intercooler bracket using the 15mm socket. Unclip wiring harness to Fans. When bottom bracket is removed fans come out after wiring harness is unclipped. After detaching hot and cold pipping and blow off line there is a wire harness clip driver side up at the top of the intercooler that is hard to see make sure to find and detached or you will get hung up. Biggest thing for us was trimming you will see the shutter shroud easily now. Remove the clipped in 2 inch shroud extension by in clipping from main part of shroud. With this done I still needed to cut 1/4 inch of shroud back to fit intercooler in. As others have mentioned best to put the fans back in first but I found it best to zip tie the whole fan assembly up to the upper bracket so not having to wrestle it every time I was fitting the Intercooler in place.
