Its simple you would not put Roush mufflers or CAI on an Svt Shelby mustang so why would you want to put them on a SVT Raptor. A Roush mustang is cool and so is a Roush F150, but those parts dont belong on a SVT.

Failing to see how putting Roush parts on your Raptor is any different than putting any other manufacturer's parts on your Raptor. Just because Roush also makes special edition cars for Ford?

I don't get your logic and see nothing wrong with putting Roush stuff on a Raptor, but to each their own.

Kinda funny seeing as how Roush took part in some of the Raptors early development.... Better sell your Raptor now lol.

Same answer for the Roush Cat-back! Ha Ha! Why would any one want to mix Roush parts with SVT anyway? SVT should make a cold air intake for the Raptor like they do for the Shelby, that would be sweet, SVT parts for an SVT!

SVT doesn't make a CAI for the Raptor for the same reason Roush cannot recommend using theirs in water/mud/sand.

AFE does specifically say that their filters can be used in off-road conditions. Here is their web page.

Performance Air Filters

they would more than likely recommend using their CAI lid for any heavy off-roading. look, i'm not defending Roush but I'm just speaking generally that "open-filter" cold air intakes are not ideal, or recommended in off-road situations where the risk of dirt, dust, mud or water ingestion is possible. am i wrong?

I put all kinds of things on my Raptor and GT500. How cares who makes it and in fact many upgrades are taking off SVT parts anyway. :waytogo:

I agree with you Bird, a cover is better. Roush is saying that the filter isn't reccomended for off-road. AFE. Says their filter can handle extreme conditions. I'd rather get the roush, but I need to protect the engine.

My throttle body- Hennessy intake with K&N after 9k miles. (Swapped the filter with a new one once during that 9k miles as well)
