Does the au
I see they installed the supplied microphone. They claim the unit works w/ the factory mic. I wonder (emailed them of course) if the factory mic works to control the unit in total or just in sync 3.

I also have no plans on installing the 4G accessories. Hopefully shipping is quick, I'm pretty hype about it.

I don't like that you're reusing the OEM AC board rather than giving you a new one. That was a pain with the PX6 installation, as buttons and knobs have to line up just right. I believe the new phoenix radio had it's own board. Then again, I have no idea how well the new board works.

This obviously wouldn't apply to everyone, but I had a new audio system put in, so the center channel speaker was dead. I removed it and then used that space for the mic. completely hidden by the center speaker grille. Works just fine with the PX6 mic.

Even if you still use the center speaker, you could probably drill hole and keep the mic behind that grille.
Great idea as i don’t use the center speaker either. it’s physically there but not plugged in. Thx for the tip!

The new 14.4” Tesla Style the OP is discussing, the unit works with the existing F150 mic. At least it does on my 2020 Raptor with Sync 3. Supposedly, there are different wire harnesses for different years so I don’t know if older models would be the same.

Any issues to report? Was any updates needed after install?

How's the boot up time? I've noticed on a couple of their videos, they edit out the boot ups.

I haven’t actually timed the boot but it’s quick, I have mine set to pair with my iPhone via WiFi so For some reason I need to open my phone as it’s is waiting for me to confirm pairing with CarPlay. I probably am missing something that would allow the pairing without the request.

I use the CarPlay side of the unit driving 25 miles each way to work. I use iPhone music app and WAZE. Occasionally make or take a call - OEM integration of mic and speakers, you don’t need to use the extra mic and speaker they supply - again, I have a 2020 and it works.

issues I’m working on - sometimes when trying to make a call, it says sync is trying to pair with my iPhone. Don‘t know why it works seamlessly sometimes and other times not.

Seat heaters work but seem tintime out, after about 10 minutes, the heaters turn off.

Rear camera works but it takes just a bit longer to lwinch the video when shifting into reverse. Image is smallish perhaps due to the fact I have a 360 camera view that’s always at the side of the rear view. Not sure either if all the camera views toggle like with the OEM.

Things I like. Very much a plug and play with my year and SYNC 3. Sound is great, no degradation in the B&O sound. Wireless CarPlay Works great other than my comment on phone not syncing 100% of the time (it hasn’t been that long so it may work itself out as I play with it). Waze on full screen is awesome. Looks 100% better than stock. I like keeping the OEM climate controls.

Things I question - Autotechpro claims a 2K screen - perhaps it’s the “1980‘ they are using to claim such. I doubt they are using a QHD screen. The unit they sell looks identical to many of the other manufacturers offering the same claiming they have a 1980x1200 or 1280 screen. Hopefully someone will be able to test such and confirm their advertising. Don’t get me wrong, the screen looks great.

Thanks for providing some background into your experience with the Autotec Pro unit.

I hope this is a QHD screen. Autotec Pro emphasizes that it is multiple times through their advertisements and videos. I thought maybe they had an exclusive build from a manufacturer. I paid the extra $200 additional over the aliexpress unit as future proofing for higher resolution content and better readability on text pages. Otherwise I would have grabbed the Aliexpress Android 12 version. I will test the resolution with QHD content when I get it.

Did it take long to receive once you ordered it?

Yeah I was gonna say (but decided to keep my mouth shut) that the aliexpress version looks identical to the autotec pro unit. Hmmm.

I will test it out when I get it and let the group know.

As I said before, because of the amount emphasis they place on the 2560x1440, I am thinking it is an exclusive build for Autotec Pro. Since most content isn't in QHD, most people won't recognize the better resolution. However since the screen is large, if you were to see 1920x1080 screen next to 2560x1440 you would definitely notice the larger pixalation on the 1920x1080.
