Both rears finally changed. Clunk is totally gone, Funny how it seemed like it was always coming from the front and it was the rears.

This is very encouraging to hear. I'm waiting on 1 of my 2 rears to get in after my dealer ordered them. I swore my clunk is coming from the front too but they said they're fairly certain it's the rear - fingers crossed I end up in the same spot as you!

One arrived before the other and had it swapped in, It STILL felt like the front until the last rear arrived.

I love driving this truck again!

Hey guys, I have a July 22 build date with the rear clunk. Going to bring back to dealer asap to get this addressed. Hopefully they don’t give me a hard time but apparently post June build dates also have this issue.

So I have some suspension noise but I honestly don't notice it unless I hone in on it. But I went ahead and set up a service appoint to have all 4 corners looked at. My question is if it is the shock or shocks that are making the noise does that mean they are not working properly either? I don't see anyone posting the ride quality suffer but just noise or annoy sound. I took my truck to "baja" a few months ago and truck was amazing but back then the suspension rattle/noise was there. I just don't notice anything that indicates the shocks aren't functioning properly just the noise.

I might be wrong but I thought I read somewhere it was a mess up on fox's part and the fluid composition is wrong and or the holes in the shocks that allow the flow in and out of the reservoir that is making the noise. I am not sure if that is totally wrong if what I read had merit. so I guess if you got old shocks why couldn't it be possible

I would beleive it. Friends with 1st and 2nd gens have experinced the same thing. I think its partly due to the "race" nature of the truck.
Its hard to make a vehicle so good natured on the road that you can also take to Baja.

After reading this thread went to look at my front shocks. Noticed20221219_073904.jpg20221219_073922.jpg something odd for the driver front. There's a rubber collar at the top of the coil that looks out of place as compared to the passenger front. Is this normal ?

great--my replacements that were manufactured before that date are starting to get noisy again lol
That’s the vehicle production cutoff date, not the shock production cut off date. The new shocks needed to be in production well before the plant could switch over to the new part number.

Without going back through 85 pages, Is this shock defect happening with the 2023's as well? If so what is a estimate production date that y'all are seeing any improvement? Any Info greatly appreciated.
