Has anyone figured out 100% if 2023 trucks will be able to have the heated wheel added? And by that, I mean without modification. Just factory plug and play with missing parts. I don’t want to splice or modify anything. If that is involved, I’ll just stick with my lack of heated wheel.

Cheers, everyone!

There was a thread on this, but the answer is no. First deliveries were generally last week, and I dont think that anyone has torn apart their steering wheel.

I've read it's a different clockspring, but also that the wheel doesn't have the heating element AND you will need the button cluster, so you're looking at a decently expensive retrofit if so. Probably not a $140 fix.

It’s definitely not 140.00. I replaced the wheel on my Gen2. It was 500.00 just for the wheel.

Would you be willing to spend that much, possibly more, just to have the heated wheel?
Thousands? No. However, I do have a dealer connection. But, I’m not down for hacking up my truck to try and get something to work. If all the factory items remained minus, clockspring, wheel that has heating elements, and the button, that’s one thing. So, it depends on circumstance. I bought my ‘23 knowing future models might have less parts, cost more money, and be even harder to get. I made my peace with the heated wheel. Does it mean I wouldn’t mind having it? Of course, I would like it. In the end, it takes away zero from the driving experience.

I seen my truck today, picking it up tomorrow. 2023 AG 37” blend date was November 14. Delivery was today be ready for pick up tomorrow. It has the heated steering wheel button on the wheel. I didn’t have the keys to see if it works. With that being said if the button is there then I would think it‘s probably not that difficult to retro fit it. I was surprised to see the button. I’ll post back tomorrow let you know when I pick up the truck.

The button the the wheel isn’t for the heated steering wheel, that is to change the feel while driving the truck. The button for the heated wheel is down on the center stack at the bottom left for 21-22 trucks.

I should have some retrofit feedback soon, been gathering parts for the last couple months.

Plenty of 21+ f150s retrofits, just not aware of any 23 delete owners or more specifically 23 raptor owners who have confirmed what harnesses and SCCM/Clockspring assy we have in our trucks already
