Looked under the truck to check on the new shocks and noticed that the driver's side spring had rotated away from the collar since I put them on Sunday. Passenger side looked fine. Is this something I should be worried about?

Pin wasn’t stuck and we can’t find any reason for the problem.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Pins, calipers, lines all function properly.
Well in that case I don’t know. Typically you would think either a stuck (now unstuck) caliper or something lodged between the pad and rotor (like debris). Maybe it couldn’t handle your “Bo Duke” hard braking?

Maybe it was just a bad pad. Like I said earlier, my dumb luck. SH!

I have a ride that imo was built to leave digging and stop dragging. I really don’t beat on her though. There is a fine line when leaving a red light between leaving with traffic or leaving traffic. I don’t attempt to stop for yellow lights, my doggie gets rocked and rolled enough as it is. I do, however, hope every red light will turn green before I have to use the brakes. Therefore, I can embrace the “Bo Duke” statement, although I’m a Daisy.

Did the brake pad brake caliper shim slide over into rotor?
Didn’t find anything except for the unusual wear around the edge. Everything functioned normally when it was taken apart. I have new pads on the front (both sides) and 3 drilled and slotted rotors and one drilled with very little slotting left due to the unfortunate need for that rotor to be turned.
