Thanks everyone! No rust that I could find on the body. I’ll look into the drain tubes and the fuse 27 situation. This is the only pic I have for now, waiting on the rain to subside to get it all cleaned up!View attachment 377470
Nice Raptor, you just can't go wrong with a Gen 1!

Looking good! But I'm an a$$ man... I'm gonna need to see that thing from the back once it stops raining. (and pull up the skirt so we can see the clean OEM suspension. I am green with envy, but happy for you at the same time)

As far as the drain tubes, I just used a pick tool to pull out the tubes themselves and replaced the random tape with some gorilla tape after I cleaned the slots out. I had moister trapped in there, but I just shoved a $h!t load of shop towels in there until it dried up and then hit it with my old lady's hair-dryer to be on the safe side.

The sun-roof is made in (insert Random 3rd World Country HERE) IE. cheap plastic legos. So after years in the sun, the components get brittle and crack. So some of us unlucky bastards randomly heard a POP/Explosion when we tried to open it one beautiful North Carolina summer and had to rebuild the entire assembly. Not hard, just time consuming. You, good Sir, are doing the right thing by keeping that trophy truck in an enclosed space. Keeping the UV rays away.

Looking forward to your future build thread on swapping out the suspension for some 3.0s...

I purchased my 2014 September 2021 with 21,870 miles on it and am at 35,300 miles on it now. Been 100% trouble free. So far I've put a lock box under the left side rear seat, did the fuse 21 relocation, new BFG K02 tires, swapped out all of the interior lights for LEDs, I've changed out the transmission pan for one with a drain plug, installed the extra capacity transmission oil cooler. Next up is a power steering cooler and possibly an oil cooler. I did have a pedal commander but I got the wrench symbol so I removed it and it's been about 1,000 miles and the wrench symbol has not returned.

Welcome to the club! You're going to enjoy the hell out of the Gen 1 Raptor. This is by far the best vehicle I've ever owned. I may have paid way too much for it but I am damn glad I was able to find a factory stock Gen 1 is fantastic shape!

Welcome as they all welcomed me a few weeks ago. Yes fuse 27, I found that one out the hard way, even worse my wife thought it was funny to take pics of it going "On the hook" as we say in the desert ! I didn't speak to her for 10 minutes !! Showed her

Dang that's a nice one Ole Son. Mine just hit 150,000 only problem has been the sunroof and rear tail light. Still runs like it should with proper maintenance . Honestly if I had the money I would upgrade the suspension before adding the whipple if your going to be tearing it up in the deserts of Utah. Ole girl with a CAI, tune and exhaust will be plenty.
