If you're buying a pickup for 0 to 60 time or quarter mile time, you ain't The brightest bulb in the chandelier. And if you write articles on the internet about it, well, your ethics are in question.
Or you’ve got tiny PP syndrome. A lot of TRX guys I’ve talked to at meets remind me of “the guy who just bought a boat”:

Exactly. Well said. Like I always say...if ya want to drag race then buy a muscle car but there will always be some one faster no mater what you have. I look for RELIABILITY, usefulness and fun when I compare trucks. Have Zero complaints on my Gen 1 and love it and I'm sure people do on there newer Gens also.

TRX isn’t faster than a Raptor - Gen2 Gen3 or R - off-road. That’s what matters first & foremost.

I highly doubt an R is slower on the street when a tune only Gen2 running HEAVY ass aftermarket wheels & 37”s is within spitting distance of a stock TRX through the 1/4 the R will still keep the weight advantage & should have more power than a tuned HO3.5

I’m not posting the link again- go check out TFL’s YouTube channel & you’ll see it w/ your own eyes.

But you're referring to 'real world' testing, not the number Ford is going to officially post. I expect Ford to post a faster 0-60 time, but I would not be surprised to see Ford be conservative either. Doesn't really matter. The two are going to be close enough, I expect, that driver, road conditions, etc, will be deciding factor in a real world scenario anyway. Not that anybody is going 0-60 in the starbucks parking lot.

Saw a rumor on the Tundra forums today that MY2023 F-150 including Raptor R will not have heated steering wheel or heated mirrors because of shortages. Can anyone confirm? I called BS on the Raptor R option delete.

Hope that’s not the case or the people paying the factory markup of what? $20-35k for an R over a standard Raptor….+ ADM!?!? The R BETTER be noticeably quicker in every measure than the TRX b/c if not? Other than what I’m sure will be a sweet exhaust note….R owners will quickly feel well ripped off unless they need a factory V8 Raptor (similar to wrangler 392)

What do I mean? Well plenty of options out there to have a regular F150 5.0 fitted w/ a blower & off-road suspension, & plenty of options soon to be out there to tune a gen3 like a gen2 & then some (I imagine they’ll net a lil higher on the dyno when all said & done vs the gen2 for a few reasons) which has already been established turns a 3.5HO Raptor into something that can run neck & neck w/ TRX

So I fully expect the R to eat the TRX’s lunch in every measure or they wouldn’t have bothered making it. The 10 speed + 4.10s + lighter weight alone on paper should equate to this
