I think this is all possible and the misfire condition itself can make it worse. The tune was almost certainly over boosting the turbos. The stock turbos have little room for spinning faster, without losing a bunch of efficiency and increasing amounts of heat. If the gap wasn’t correct in the first place, that could certainly have led to premature failure.

Spark plugs lead a hard life. There’s a lot of cylinder pressure and they’re passing a super high volt spark that’s required to work 100% of the time under challenging conditions. I don’t think this was simple overtorquing of the plug or ham ****** install, I’d suspect a combination of inarticulate plug gap, higher than stock boost and heat as a side effect, possibly wrong heat range for the application - I’ll defer to the tuners here, all stressing the plugs significantly more than stock.

Give it a good test drive when you pick it up. get the truck up to operating temp first- Engine AND transmission, then give it some WFO throttle. Make sure you’re symptom free before taking it home as “fixed”. once you do, make sure the truck is stable before modding.
I picked the truck up this afternoon before I saw this but I did so at 'quitting time' so there's not really any place for me to run it wide open at the moment as the streets and freeways are congested a bit. I'll take it for a spin later this evening, let it get to temp and run it hard a few times to make sure it behaves appropriately. If not, I'll be calling the dealership and taking it straight back to the shop. Really, really hoping the latter doesn't have to happen though.

Appreciate you all sticking with me through this and hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Cheers.

Cracked spark plugs are the typically the result of damage before installation (being dropped, etc) or damage during installation, such as incorrect tools being used.
Sincerely appreciate the insight... hoping that's all it was in this case and the issue is resolved now. The truck got 6 new spark plugs and two new coil packs this afternoon. Dealer handled the bill, which was just over $700. Here's hoping she runs like a champ now.

Just from your original statement “I thought I was buying a clean low mile raptor” it sounds like you weren’t looking for these headaches. Power train is definitely void if ford wants to pursue a deep dive on your ECU should something major happen and they want to. The only iffy thing in my book is if they decide to do that. I’d honestly either return it or, if you want to go down that road I’d see if they would pay for a goosetune and Cobb AP.

Wasn't looking for the headache, but it WAS looking for me. If you have time to read through the thread, you'll see where I stand at the moment. Apart from the original SNAFU of not knowing about the tune before ensuring me it hadn't been tuned, they've handled every single thing (that followed) in about the best possible way they could. The communication has been fantastic. They didn't ghost me or give me the runaround. In addition to my normal point of contact, one of the owners reached out to me directly, and was super apologetic about everything and made a commitment to make things (and the truck) right, which to this point, it seems they have.

Time will tell I guess, but the dealership seemed to be genuinely invested in my satisfaction here, which certainly helped to alleviate some of the stress inherent in this type of situation. Appreciate you taking the time to reply Rob - hope you have an opportunity to get caught up on the thread at your leisure.

As for tuning the truck, I have no plans to do that in the near future. I'm going to drive it for a bit, get used to it, see how I like it, and make sure it's stable before I start tweaking things. Based on the wealth of knowledge present here, seems the consensus is the modifications I have should be great with or without a tune, but I'm in good shape should I decide at some point to throw a tune on it.

Cheers.

Sometimes a spark plug can crack and break in half when it's in a Yamaha 650 twin with the plugs sticking out the side and you crash it and they smash into your shin and break in half.

Congrats on the truck. Glad it sounds like they have it fixed for you! Sorry you’ve had to deal with the headaches but as it sounds like you are loving the truck when it’s running properly hopefully you’re over the headaches! I’m in Richardson and if you need another set of eyes on your truck don’t hesitate to reach out, just don’t let @okdfart know or he shows up with his ladies and it takes for ever to get my yard back looking good. My 2018 is more on the Mod side, so I’ve been down this road before. Welcome to FRF.

Haha, appreciate the warm welcome... so far so good on the repairs. The truck seems to be running well. Drove it a bit Saturday and Sunday and had some opportunities to get on it a few times and didn't have any issues (knock on wood). I will drive it a bit as is and make sure it's stable before I consider a tune but it may happen at some point. Richardson isn't far at all... I'd be happy to let you check it out sometime and get your thoughts on it... and I'm guessing you were trying to warn me about @Oldfart, not "okdfart," but noted - hah!

Cheers.
