35 vs 37 package

You’re joking right? If you’re going to come In here quoting MotorTrend you obviously have no technical knowledge yourself. Seat of the pants experience between the two wouldn’t be noticeable to most everyday drivers.

Since you like quotes here's one for you.

"With the standard-fit 35-inch tires, Ford says the new Raptor offers 14 inches of suspension travel up front and 15 inches at the rear. Step up to the optional 37s and that travel decreases slightly, down to 13 inches at the front and 14.1 inches in the rear, to stop those big Raptor-specific BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2s from chewing away at the wheel wells."

100% of the buyers purchasing the 37" package is to tell others they bought the 37" package.
Again it has no added performance value and would most likely have worse results in head to head competition in stock form. Numbers dont lie.
Even with the special frame that was modified to fit the 37" spare.

To those saying there is no performance benefit to the 37, I think it needs to be layered in that the R only comes as a 37 variant. I know part of that is marketing but obviously Ford thinks that the 37 is the optimal setup for that truck.

Not saying the 37 vs 35 do not have some tradeoffs but it goes both ways, I cant be sold there isn't any benefit other than looks

I’ve driven both on and off road. I am no baja champion but I do have an extensive background in driving rally spec sedans. On the street if I close my eyes and think really hard the 37 might be more comfortable.

Don’t listen to the marketing BS on the 35 vs 37 package. Of course Ford is going to say each option has benefits. The 37 package is straight up faster on the dirt. It annihilates uneven terrain in a way 35 inch tires can’t touch. So what if the 35 package has one inch more travel, if you actually jump each truck over the same obstacles it is very plainly obvious the 37 lands with more control. I don’t know how or why, but now that I actually have my truck and have driven both in the dirt I don’t care.

I own both. I am speaking from experience, or seat of the pants, not out my ass like you. The loss of 1" of suspension is to keep the larger tires from jaming into the top of the wheel well. What is the mystery to you about that? If you think larger tires don't help off-road, then explain why people don't go to 33" tire to get rid of some unsprung weight and really get the tires spinning?
