2022 ordered in Jan w/allocation, still unscheduled. Confusion on 23 conversion.

The same thing happened to me. my dealership received a email from Ford stating my truck was damaged in transit it’s been a month now and I still don’t have an estimate arrival date. and it’s rolled over to a 23. don’t even bother to call Ford Customer Service cause they don’t know anything they just read from a script. and if you call Ford Performance they don’t know nothing either

My 22 ordered January 10th 2022 was never picked up despite the dealer (Laurel Ford, MT) claiming they had an allocation. I didn't wait for it to be rolled over as the dealer stated they only received 3 allocations for 2023 (so far) and had 12 orders on the books; I was 6th in the queue.

They refunded my $1k deposit and I found a new dealer within 7 hours of me that had 6 available allocations for 2023's, 2 of which were 37 packages which is what I want. Placed a new order with them on August 10th and just got the following update on Friday:

Ford have asked for the first run of Raptor orders (non R). I have submitted your order to scheduling. When I receive an update on this I will pass it along to you. According to Ford there was no commodity constraints but down the line this make affect things. Just wanted to keep you in the loop!

I was told in a subsequent email that Job 1 is going to be built October through November so I am expecting a build date in that range.

I would check with your dealer if they have been given allocations for 2023; ask how many and then ask how many orders they have on the books and where you are in the queue. An honest dealer won't have any issues providing this information. My dealer has sent me innumerable screenshots proving their allocation, showing my order priority, etc etc etc so I am very confident.

If the numbers don't line up, then cancel and find a new dealer.

Sounds like you have a good dealer. I don’t believe most are this transparent.

I placed an order through my dealer (who I’ve spent a lot of money with) and when I drove my Lightning up there (at their requests, picked it up before most salesmen got to see it), one let it slip that they had 20 orders for 4 Raptors.

It’s a **** move, but I called a ton of other local dealers and found one with a 22 order that the guy backed out of and they left open. I assumed that order. I didn’t want to be the guy who had multiple orders but the shenanigans are bad right now so I’ll play along. The 22 flipped to 23 but is still a priority code 10 vs my other one at 11….and the second dealership claims I have their only allocated truck.

I was told by my dealer this week that the 23 order bank is technically open, but they haven't received any allocations for the 23 yet. So they are waiting until they actually know how many they'll get before they start tossing orders "into the void" as he said.

Which sucks, but I also appreciate that they won't just take my order and nothing will happen to it.

Fingers crossed I can get one in with this first wave in the next month or so.

Laurel Ford strung me along on a 21 order despite me being the one to tell them order banks were open for 21s (and again for 22s). They were claiming MSRP but I’m pretty sure they were bumping up customers that paid extra. They sent me a order screen shot and it showed orders placed after mine with higher priorities/ already scheduled. Good job ditching them, I did the same for 22 and got 2 built at MSRP.

That makes me feel better then. I was wondering why me dealer isnt taking 23 orders yet, while others have already ordered. I guess their waiting for conformation, while others are just ordering without knowing.

Both of the dealers I ordered from claimed to know their allocations on the day order banks opened
