You think this is a good light bar substitute? I just don’t really want to do a behind the grille setup
I’ve had a number of different light bar setups. These two lights (I went with amber for the first time and love them) are the equal of a light bar if not exceed it. I would prefer they be on the bumper in my case as amber cuts fog and dust better down low. But I don’t want to drill into bumper so am waiting for a vendor here to come out with a non-drilled mount.

When LP series lights are ordered does the tap for running amber's come with?
It may depend on the vendor but I believe they do. Mine actually came with the wrong harnesses but as I brought them to get installed, he realized it and used the correct ones.

I think IPT refers to the smaller side LEDs on the LP4. BD makes a set of blinders that stick on with double sided tape or SDHQ makes a set that bolts on using the existing hardware. I got a set from SDHQ as they are local and I liked the idea of not relying on double sided tape, especially in AZ heat although I am sure it is fine.

Ty. Just ordered these. Had never seen them.

FYI:Specialty Performance Parts makes a plug and play harness for Gen 3 that allows you to tap into running lights harness by the hood latch. This way your LP running lights come on with the rest of your running lights and you don’t have to use a UF switch. I am also told they are coming out with a no drill kit for front bumper bracket for the Gen 3. They make one for Gen 2 currently.

Any consensus on these looking way too big?
I was thinking the same thing. These look almost too big for the A-pillar mount and as someone stated can block the view slightly. I’m torn because I could just upgrade all of the fog lights to pro series but I still don’t think I’m going to get the same amount of light output as these things. Plus they are higher up so better location than the fog position. Would love to hear some more opinions or even some other pics.

I can get some pictures tonight to show how they look from inside the cab to give you an idea of how much they block.

Yeah I love the light output but not liking the application. Bars behind the grille seems to be a good option, but a pain to install. Honestly a ADD bumper with the a light bar setup seems to be my favorite option right now, but cost is high. Too many options and questions!!! Lol

What other companies would there be besides Baja Designs and Rigid for the a-pillar? The Baja Designs reminds me of the old Jeep lights with the happy face on the cover :)

Shoot me a PM if/when you're thinking of ordering a bumper, we can do a bundle deal with lights to save you some money in the process. We recently had a ton of ADD bumper styles in stock.

You could also checkout Diode Dynamics and Vision X. Both are great brands. Also Morimoto makes the 4banger lights that are good for the A pillar.
