Awesome! Are those T55 or T55 plus on the phasers? I still don't really understand why they even have a plus. Nevertheless, great writeup and pictures, appreciate it!
T55 PLUS if you can. The PLUS is able to transmit more torque. You need all the torque you can get with these bad boys.

Great write up, and thanks for the pics! Mine are done, and happy to say, afterwards...No more issues. But if I ever have to do it again sans-warranty...Pics are always helpful.

Thanks for posting.

Awesome write up and thanks for sharing. I should probably research this before I ask… but maybe someone already knows. Are the phasers/timing chains/tensioner/other parts and removal/install process the same as the normal 3.5 ecoboost Gen 2 motors?

Great job Grey. I have done this job a few times and if your not afraid of a wrench can save you a large stack of dollars. After market parts set me back around $200 including a high volume Melling oil pump.
How much work is it to swap out the oil pump once everything is apart? My 2012 3.5 ecoboost has 168xxx miles so when it's time I'll probably also upgrade the oil pump, replace the water pump, belts, hoses, & idler pulley, spark plugs & coils all at once.

pretty darn easy since your "in there" already. Couple more bolts and it's done

And a couple more dollars too. Ebay sellers are asking up to $700, while Summit lists them as backordered.
