So I’m getting a 2014 SE that’s been roush’d stage 2 with a check engine light. Ford can’t figure out the issue and is now saying it’s the tune. Which I Highly doubt. Wondering if anyone has any ideas.

1st Code P0453 Evaporative Emission System Pressure Sensor/Switch High

2nd code U210B - Lost Communication Between Fuel Pump Control Module A And Restraints Control Module

They already dropped the fuel tank and replaced the sensor as well as check for a vacuum leak. That’s all checked and hood. Still same codes.

Looking for any insight.

When you say Ford, I'm assuming you mean some local dealer? What did you mean when they said, "It's the time"? Are they saying it's a timing issue? I wouldn't go near it until it's 100%, and I would want a different dealer to check it.

Sorry. Spellcheck sucks.

Tune.

And I’m purchasing at a non-ford dealership who sent it to the local Ford dealership to fix the check engine light. Who seems to not be able too. They are trying ti say because it’s modified and tuned that’s causing the issues. Which I doubt.

Until the dealer you're buying from gets the check engine light issue fixed I wouldn't buy it! Could be a whole can of worms you don't want to inherit!

^This times 1000! Any number of possibly very expensive things could be wrong with the truck. Depending on the tune, it could absolutely throw codes and a check engine light.

Had those exact codes in mine as well as others.
Do yourself a favor and check if Fuse 27 is still there and if the socket has any signs of being melted.
My fuse was good but socket was bad transferring all kinds of electrical frequency into the Can-Bus system.

Can-Bus is a 2 way communication channel between modules and if interference gets entered into the Can-Bus they cant talk to each other, causing error codes to get logged.
Ford wanted to replace the Harness and the BCM on my dime and had no idea if that would fix it!

I had a fuse 27 relocation kit hanging around so I put it in and VOILA... no more interreference and all CEL and codes disappeared.

Interesting!

It does have fuse 27 already relocated. But will tell them to check it.

I had similar codes in an Expedition.
Turned out to be broken wire above spare tire that ran to an evap pump on top of gas tank.
Everyone said it was a gas cap issue, but that would have been way too easy.
Once I figured out how the system worked, I looked to see what was going on.
Once dropping the tire it was pretty obvious.
Not sure if related to what you have happening, but may be worth a look.

Next step is check/clean all your grounds.
There are body grounds on the front core support each side back of headlight buckets, a ground by the BCM passenger footwell, another at Drivers footwell and one that goes from the frame to the body under the truck on passenger side close to the forward body mount. This one gets bad in trucks up north.

Well got the truck and forscan to help read codes and whatnot.

Still got U210B and now B11D8.

I'll be going over the wiring and checking what I can. Figured i'd ask here if anyone has had similar issues. The dash is showing the wrench now vs the check engine light if that matters.
