Hey Guys,

New here I ordered my first raptor in November of 21 at MSRP of 77,489 and heard no updates until a couple of days ago when I got a email from the dealership that read “   I was told today that Ford cancelled your order. We priced a 2023 spec'd the way you ordered it and the cost is $88089 without the bed liner or a plate. Do you want me to reorder it?” what do you guys recommend I should do am I screwed as I was completely devastated by this news. Thanks for all the help in advance!

Unfortunately this is the reality of dealers placing orders whithout a dealer allocation to support it. Not much you can do but find a dealer with an actual allocation tied to it and place an order through them. Many Dealers allow customers to place orders beyond their current allocations of raptors with the "hopes" that Ford will give them a few more allocations. This sets up customers like yourself to believe their order will get built, often times it does not and just a pissed off customer. Bad business model if you ask me. My dealer won't allow you to place an order if they don't have an allocation to support it, I tried MY21 but they ran out of allocations and ultimately MY22 to get mine in, but at least when I got to order the allocation was there...

Thank you for giving me a good response my issue is not having to reorder but having my price go up 10k for the same car and that’s my biggest concern

With inflation, figure average Raptor price increase from here on out will be around 500-600 a month. Buying a 22 at 5K adm is like getting a 23 for msrp.

Understand, IMO (and contrary to many on here I know) the only options that were important was/is 360 degree camera and torsen, not another option you were ordering to make it more off road worthy. Now with 801A the only trim, just order a base 801A and you will be very happpy with it. Seriously consider that, I think you will be more than satisfied and likely receive it much faster and at the price point you want. I get options, not trying to knock anyone, I'm the guy who puts $3k of carbon fiber on my Harley so I get it, just for the Raptor, it is very well equiped/cabable standard.

37's weren't on your original order and even if you wanted them look at EXO expedition offroad, base MY21 800A with 37's leading BAJA runs!

My '22 order didn't get built, so I am in the same boat as you. I already ordered my '23. I hope by ordering it early I will have a better chance of getting it.

I am trying to figure out how the heck your build went up $10,500. Even with the 3-4 price increases we've seen, I would have expected your truck to be about $6k more.

BUT, there are a few more conditional options for '23. For instance, if you wanted the Blue Interior package now, it requires the Bead Lock wheels for another $1895. If you want the lockable storage in the rear (used to be included with 801A), it's $215. And in order to add that, you have to have Pro Power for $995. I'd review your build and see what you can shave off if you aren't comfortable with the $88,089.

Yeah, basically, out of luck. Ford is basically producing only “ordered” trucks now and Raptors are by allocation only. So, in order to actually get a Raptor now, you have to:

1) know someone at Ford Corporate
2) be a celebrity
3) 1 & 2
4) know a stealership with an allocation who will take your order and ethically deliver the truck to you without changing the terms of the deal
5) 4 + be willing to wait 8-15 months for delivery after ordering.

Basically, the Raptor has become a boutique truck. I can get a Ducati race bike easier than I can get a new Raptor and if you have any idea how difficult it is to secure products form an Italian manufacturer, that’s saying something.
