New to the truck suspension game and trying to figure out a good balance of daily driving (90%) and off-road (10%). First off, the truck is a 2018 Gen2 with 140,000 miles. I would to just add an SVC mid-travel but think something more like the performance pack 1 or 2 without the new coilovers and shocks…opt to rebuild factory fox shocks and add either Eibach or Geiser springs. Future plans would be to use this truck for a Baja Raptor Run in a couple of years for my 50th and then buy a new Gen 3. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

JMO, but if you're intended use is mostly daily driver, the SVC mid travel kit is probably not the way to go. For off road use, then YES! And it's expensive. I thought about it too, and wanted on road manners first. There's really no right / wrong answer. Budget will dictate everything.

I chose Fox FRS 3.0s, Deaver +3, SVC Traction bars, Camburg UCAs, and recently went with the SDI ECLIK system. I did a Baja run last year with everything mentioned except the ECLIK, and it was fun, but way rougher than I expected. Going back in October on another run.

Good info. Thanks. It’s finding the right combo. Are you running 35’s?

I mean. I went SVC mid travel and it’s a whole different ball game now as far as off road capabilities. I also drive it daily in Los Angeles and it hasn’t become too much of a bother. She is wide though…
Did you replace the stock fenders as well?

You will need to replace the fenders with a mid travel kit.

Why do you want to keep the factory Fox shocks? Some better shocks would help a ton.

Front: 3.0, UCA, tie rods
Rear: bypass rack, bump stop, Devers

Front and rear bumpers. Lights. Brakes. Tune. And you will enjoy the hell out of it.

That’s the issue with the mid-travel…fenders. It definitely seems like the 3.0’s with UCA and tie rods is all that would be needed for the front. Plus it would be a lot less red flags for the wife…lol. I definitely like using the 3.0’s after thinking about the hassle of doing springs. Thanks for the input.

I was thinking of SCV’s mid travel. I will daily drive mine as well. I’m not one to be inconvenienced or bothered by little things. Any tips, pics or other insights on daily driving your truck?
