Great pics again, thx for sharing. These trucks ARE so fking cool and so much fun. TC is pretty amazing. You know you can also use the left paddle shifter to lock out gears, i.e. limit the truck to lowest 3 gears etc. A big help on steep downgrade stuff and loose surface. looks to me like you are in prime Baha mode country though. Hope u enjoy a few SPEED trips through some of that country, LOL!

I set up Base-Camp last week for 5 days in Page AZ. Fantastic Trip, many, many pictures to follow :)
Todays lesson, answers an often asked question, at least by me.
What is Trail-Control? It is basically “Off-Road Cruise Control “ it takes almost all of the skill out of Off-Roading, all I’m left to do is Pick A Good Line. TC takes care of the brakes, throttle input etc. Ensuring that the tire that has traction gets what it needs (at least that’s my understanding)
You can set the speed on the TC from 1mph to 20mph max, in 1mph increments.
TEST PARAMETERS - Deep *** Sugar Sand, sugar sand is very difficult to get through, providing little to no “bite”. Tires Air-Downed to 32psi ( yes I know, I was setting myself up for failure) I should have been closer to 15psi. I did downhill, level and uphill.
ULTIMATE TEST-My Ultimate test was a 11-degree incline, I STOPPED in the middle of it!
At first I wasn’t moving at at all, I could see the tires spining in the sand and feel the power transfer from tire to tire. The only thing I did to assist the TC was to turn the front tires from left to right.
I’ll be damed if I didn’t start slowly crawling up the hill and eventually up and over!
I figured for sure I would be breaking out All 4 MAXTRAX!
THE RAPTOR TC PERFORMED WELL BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS!!
Simply put, “This Mfing Truck never ceases to Amaze me”
NOTE-I’m not an expert Sand Driver, actually, I’m not a big fan of Sand because getting stuck is extremely easy ;)
