They? Who’s “they” pray tell? You mean the “pseudo” (actual) communist regime that has slid into place while 1/2 the country sits drooling on through their face masks watching CNN on repeat?
I’m in the auto biz. This too shall pass. The ICE is NOT being supplanted in my lifetime- I’m 41.
I really hope you’re right.
Except he would be wrong, EVs will be 80 percent of new vehicle sales by 2030 which is the target. I would say 50-60 percent will be the actual number. Download a EV charger app and take a look for yourself.
I know, I just wish it weren’t true.
Until they figure out how to effectively STORE energy, regardless how it’s produced….EVs are dead in the water. I’m in MA- they’re warning against rolling brown outs this summer- well, that’s mainly correlated w/ huge power draws during the day as people are more active & obviously have ACs etc running, so….imagine if nothing else changed, except for the amount of EVs in the region increasing by- I dunno, 50% even….now they all plug in around the same time, overnight, when we have historically seen energy demand DROP.I really hope you’re right.

10hp is 10hp regardless of what type of energy is consumed to produce it, where is all this energy gonna be generated from to power all the 1000hp Hummers, eh? Think about it.
