Except he would be wrong, EVs will be 80 percent of new vehicle sales by 2030 which is the target. I would say 50-60 percent will be the actual number. Download a EV charger app and take a look for yourself.

Me too, but as commander Biden said the USA is in a transitional period. That means off of ICE and onto EV. I hate it too, and once that gets going they will probably start taxing ICE machines.

Until they figure out how to effectively STORE energy, regardless how it’s produced….EVs are dead in the water. I’m in MA- they’re warning against rolling brown outs this summer- well, that’s mainly correlated w/ huge power draws during the day as people are more active & obviously have ACs etc running, so….imagine if nothing else changed, except for the amount of EVs in the region increasing by- I dunno, 50% even….now they all plug in around the same time, overnight, when we have historically seen energy demand DROP.

10hp is 10hp regardless of what type of energy is consumed to produce it, where is all this energy gonna be generated from to power all the 1000hp Hummers, eh? Think about it.

and then I introduce you to the wonderful power wall unit which store around 14 kw of power combined with lets just say 2 13.5 kw panel arrays this is more than enough to charge a Hummer EV to 80 percent within a 24 power period. In regulated utility markets it will not affect anything in unregulated markets you will need some sort of net metering to gain the full effects of charging these vehicles. The Silverado and Hummer are just two examples of trucks that can be charged off solar power and the power wall backup system will provide enough low charge at night to pick back up when you have solar power.

It beats spending 7-10 grand a year for gas on a Raptor when you can have all the natural produced energy you need to run the electric truck.
