I talked to SVC and icon. They both said the stock gen 2’s are designed to be maxed and hold
The weight of the axle. I got to say the SVC guys know their stuff
Supporting the weight of the axle and absorbing the extension of a spring loaded axle at the end of it's droop are 2 different things. I don't know where your shock extension ends and where your axle droop ends, but if they're close and you're jumping it and pushing it, straps are definitely cheap insurance.

Okay guys this was too good and works too good not to share. First here is the set up.

SVC bumps
Gen 2 3.0’s
Icons leafs setting 2
Camburg 1.5 shackles
Custom shock mount
Brake line drop bracket

So out of that the bump kit was the most but the truck works so good. The Shocks must be moved up about 3/4 of an inch so they don’t max. This is because of the bump kit allows more up travel. You must use a shackle too to achieve this as it lets the axle go forward allowing you to gain travel with a stockish shock.
Did you happen to also measure the stock distance? I've got my bone stock 2011 on stands already, so I can see what its got, but judging by the oem leaf pack's flat shape, it looks just like my 2012 ecoboost truck.

From Motortrend's 2nd gen raptor article "The second-generation Raptor's suspension has about 2 more inches of front and rear travel than the first generation (for 13.0 inches total up front, and 13.9 inches rear, versus 11.2 inches front, 12.1 inches rear in the first-gen). It also has about 2 more inches of ground clearance".

You got 12 man. 12-15 is a huge difference with a good spring too. More out back then the front can keep up with.

This is a 2011 SCREW. Previous use unknown, but those springs are pretty flat. The shock was discharged, with oil inside the plastic shock guard. I think it's time for Deavers and your upgrade.

This is my 2011 SCREW at full droop, with shocks removed. There's barely 1/2" between the leafs and the muffler. I'm waiting on Deavers and just ordered a pair of 2017 3.0 Foxes. gotsboost what's the clearance to the muffler with the new leafs at full droop?20220414_124715.jpg

I dumped mine. I absolutely hate the rear exits on these trucks. Plus ones you start pushing the truck it will break.
